Loose stair carpet Toilet seat didn’t fit properly No washing up liquid or soap

The look on first glance was lovely, the location was nice because it was close to the harbour.

Unfortunately for what we paid there was a few bits wrong, the toilet seat was more or less hanging off which caused quite an issue. The WiFi wouldn't work and the TV wasn't working. There was a hole in the wall in the front room and a big hole in the main bedroom door. I had messaged a few times prior to arriving because I couldn't find the location on Google maps before our journey and I had no response, by the time our journey had finished I still had no response. The description did say sea view but it was barely, you had to have your head up against the window and turned to the left.

The location was spot on, couldn’t fault that at all.

The host hadn’t even contacted us regarding check in. No details were given. When calling prior the host didn’t answer the phone or call back. We had to ask the girl in the shop below the apartment to let us in as she even called the host and still no answer. The smell of frying/onions through the whole enterance as it’s connected to a little food window. The stairs had no rail and the stair carpet wasn’t fitted correctly leading to near misses quite often. Upon entering the property it was tidy and slightly clean but hadn’t been deep cleaned. There was holes in the wall and ceiling. The Wi-Fi code wasn’t available in the property and we had to call the host which luckily he answered and sent it over through a text message along with the maintenance man’s number and a lady’s number who fetches clean towels. However when requested this didn’t happen so we had the same towels for 3 days. We had to buy new ones ourselves. The toilet seat was broken, and looking at reviews it has been for a long time yet still hasn’t been fixed. Also no coat hangers in the wardrobes. Location was spot on however a bit rowdy on an evening which is to be expected as it’s on the same street as pubs.

Excellent location and stones throw from the beach and amusements etc. On entering the apartment, it seems lovely and lavish as described in the title.

There was the most unbearable smell of cooking fat running through the entire property and stairwell. It wasn’t as bad in the kids room and they slept fine but us adults didn’t sleep at all as it was so bad and the bedding smelled almost sweaty like it hadn’t been washed between visitors. One adult got dressed at 5 am to go and sleep in the car, it was that bad. The toilet seat was hanging off and dangerous for the kids. The carpet on the stairs came off when you walked in it. There were holes in the walls and door. There were plates, bowls and some cutlery but nothing else in the way of cooking utensils etc. There were a lot of really nice features in the apartment and it has the potential to be amazing if given some attention. Also, the on street parking is max 1 hour no return between 9am and 7pm so really no good for guests here.

Good spacious apartment, great centralised location

Described as lavish but lots of things missing to call it lavish - no hand soap or hand towels in bathroom, toilet seat broken, no anti slip map in bathroom, no tea towel to dry dishes with, damages on walls and doors, entrance stairwell smelt, no wine glasses. I’ve never stayed anywhere that doesn’t provide toiletries.

Location and price good. Facilities good.

There was a damp smell when you first enter the property. However it is not noticeable in the apartment. There was a hole in the bedroom door and the wall, both could do with repairing.

The stairs carpet is hanging off and my elderly mother with 2 knee replacements slipped so not happy about that Wobbly toilet seat No handrail on the upper floors stairs so its abit dangerous seen as the carpet is off like 3 stairs Which is very DANGEROUS Couldn't find an iron? The shower is very very slippy maybe provide a none slip bath mat
