The location..... that was all!

DEFINITELY NOT LAVISH. DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY!! THESE PEOPLE CLEARLY TAKE PRE PAYMENT BECAUSE IF YOU SAW WHAT YOU WERE PAYING FOR YOU WOULDN'T STAY! On arrival, couldn't get hold of anyone, we rang/ text multiple times, eventually we received a Pre written text. But still no verbal communication! (A load of shit!) Got in the building, strong smell of damp up the stairs. The apartment stank of stale cigarettes. Wallpaper hanging off walls and mould all over. 'Fresh' bedding stank of cigarettes too. The mattresses on beds were so uncomfortable, springs digging in our backs! Clearly cheap like everything else in there!! Mouldy skirting boards with nails sticking out (not ideal with a 4 year-old!) Cleaner used a dirty cloth in kitchen, microwave filthy, although the oven worked, but didn't want to use it. LED lights didn't work- don't be fooled by pictures! 2 Glasses for a family of 5 🤔 and no utensils. Although the toaster worked so that was a bonus lol. The sofas were like sitting on bricks! Although the tv was a good size/picture, just a shame it had been wiped with a dirty cloth so left dirty residual on the screen. Pulled sofa out to plug my charger in, and came across stale old toast and other bits of rubbish! Toilet seat hanging off, doesn't actually fit properly. Shower was ok. It's a shame because if they gave the place a lick of paint and tarted it up a bit, it could be made really nice.

Everything the walls had holes in the wallpaper Waz hanging off damp in bedrooms it was terrible I’ve been very poorly since I tryed resolving this with the host and no reply

This was the worst experience we have had as a family, it was mouldy, damp unclean, scruffy even! Wouldn’t be fit for a dog let alone a family and absolutely no response from owner! Booking.com you should be ashamed that you’re still letting this owner take peoples money and still let this smack den out! Do not stay here!

The TV wasn't the best

Wallpaper hanging off the spare bedroom, hole in the wall in living room. No hair dryer. No tea or coffee, no sharp knives, no kitchen utensils. Instructions in the drawer for everything apart from the ones we needed for the hob. No kitchen towels for drying pots so had to use a bath towel. No fan even though booking com said there was. No glasses apart from 2 wine glasses. Couldn't get the shower to work, my wife had to wash her hair in the kitchen sink. Shower was either cold or scalding hot . Very noisy pub over the road which didn't quieten down until after 2am. Closing all the windows you could still hear the music. The keys weren't in the key safe as we were advised.

This 2nd floor apartment is a death trap just waiting for a fatal accident to happen. In one of the bedrooms, a large widow opens fully, and below it is furniture a small child could climb on, which could quite easily result in them falling from the 2nd floor to the pavement below. And there is also the same in the living room due to a broken window that doesn't close and one that opens outwardly. On entering the ground entrance door to the building, my family could barely get in for cardboard boxes and refuse just left on the floor. On the 1st floor, another door to a different flat looked as if had been rammed and had a big padlock on the door to secure it. We immediately felt very unsafe in this building. When we entered the flat we had booked, it was disgusting. Wallpaper was peeling off the walls due to damp. Underneath the TV on the wall was a big hole. The bedding looked as if it hadn't been laundered for a very long time and was covered in stains. As I mentioned at the start of this review, the two windows are a child fatality just waiting to happen. We could not contact anybody involved with the apartment. All phone numbers were just ringing out. Unfortunately, we didn't have the finances to go in search of a B&B. And the weather wasn't warm enough to sleep on the beach, but either would have been preferable to sleeping in that hovel. Finally, I expect a full refund of the amount I paid for having my family endure this stay. I have more photos but couldn't upload them.

The beds and shower was good

As soon as you walk through the main door Their is rubbish and boxes didn’t smell to pleasant big hole in the wall in the living room area wallpaper in the bedroom was peeling away revealing damp unusable toilet unless you can stand up to go as the toilet seat is falling off we had to go use public toilets old lock holes in bedroom door it’s a unfinished project unpainted doors and generally lacks maintenance we won’t be staying again
