The Lighthouse Retreat, Little Corn island, Nicaragua

Lovely staff, care given to promoting a restful, inviting yard and environment. Nice shower, comfortable bed. Central location, but quiet and removed noise and hustle bustle.

Rooms are a dark and hot. They lack cross ventilation with only a door and a window on one side. I wasn't informed electricity was shut off between 6 am and 1 pm - should disclose. Got lots of bug bites that I did not get when staying at Dereks, with unscreened windows. My room was advertised as having a sea view, but all views of sea from room are obstructed by trees (so depending on how fast the trees grow, the view won't be there for awhile). Could use more shelf space in bathroom (towel bar should not rest against wall as towel stays wet and wall is damp). Need a few hooks or a hanger or two. Would be nice to have a luggage stand (rather than laying stuff on floor).

We stayed for 6 nights and felt so at home! The staff, breakfast and surroundings were lovely. We also liked the location as we were never too far from anywhere!

very relaxing comfortable and clean rooms with private porches. Kind staff and free water was a nice touch. It is also halfway to the beach’s on the north side of the island which are the best! They also help you with the luggage to and from the pagna

nothing negative to say, it is a bit pricier than other accommodations on the island but you do feel very secluded and relaxed. It is about a 15 min walk to town it’s very nice and pretty but can be dark at night if you are walking alone, I chose to get back before sunset as a solo female traveller but the owner assure me it’s very safe

Amazing property and Stephanie the chef (and I think property manager) was fantastic. The room was very nice and comfortable, well designed and decorated. It felt very safe as well. Having two fans in the room was a big bonus.

There were no toiletries provided and not even soap in the bathroom which was disappointing for the price of the accomodations. There was also construction during our stay which really took away from the peaceful environment as you could never sleep in with the constant banging and noise

The staff was great from picking you up at the boat, totting your luggage up to the room and back down at check out, and the chef cooks great food. It's nice to be isolated on top of the hill. Can be challenging when hot out adds to the walk because there isn't air conditioning. Be prepared for black outs 6am-1pm daily. However, good there is wifi if one needs to work.

It's kind of expensive in comparison to other places on the island and charge $10 extra for a guest where nothing is included.

Well decorated and positioned. Stephanie was adorable and made our stay extra special as we only had heavy rain and storms 😅 Think twice about little corn though - beaches were polluted with plastic which was very disappointing and the panga boat crossing dangerous 🤢

Lovely hotel with a great view of the island and ideally located close to the town and not far from Otto Beach. Stephanie was so helpful and made sure I had everything I needed. The food was great and I’d highly recommend staying!

The Cabins are nice

The checking process is the worst I have ever seen in a hotel. You are forced to be an online Member of there website by creating an account. The guest hast to fill all the forms online, upload their passport by them self. At first I was forced to do that with my private Instagram account. Doing all this after a long journey was very disappointing. The manager of the hotel said I have to because it’s there policy. I had to give them my credit card card information reason behind was incase I destroy something in the room. Bathroom was clean but very low water pressure.
