Gorgeous Cozy Cottage with a heritage feel, walks, pubs & wood burner

Great location, great amenities, the cottage itself was brilliant and very cozy. Perfect for a couple of days away.

You could detect the smell of dogs which, if you have dogs or don’t mind dogs is fine, especially if you know it allows them to stay. However, if you do not like dogs it would probably not be ideal.

The location was great. The local facilities excellent. And it was cozy as in the name.

It would have been better to have been cozy with a log burner rather than central heating. Bear Grylls would have struggled lighting that fire with no kindling. The shower tray needs a good clean.

The cottage is cute and the wood stove is lovely. Heating was easy to use when it got cold in the evening

The pillows were really lumpy and need to be replaced. The house smelled of dog and needs a better clean between stays, there were crumbs all over the sofa and the fridge smelled bad and needed to be cleaned. Some more basics should be provided like a sponge for washing up, kitchen paper to clean surfaces, basic toiletries in the bathroom etc

Great location, quiet and peaceful but close enough to the village to walk into. Parking outside, cottage was very comfortable and cozy, lovely and warm and bigger than expected.

A few more essentials would have been good I.e oven trays, kitchen roll, bigger towels

Poor WiFi connection made Netflix buffer all the time and no option for TV Due to the cold weather a snuggle up afternoon with a fire and a film was spoiled

Very pretty cottage. With beautiful views. Place was clean and tidy, had a lovely log burner too. Had everything we needed. Hosts were lovely and communicated well. Would definitely come back in the summer. It’s just a short walk to the pubs and restaurants (we tried the Star, Sal’s Italian and the Lounge coffee shop - all excellent 👌🏻). Had a lovely time there.

Unfortunately we went there when it snowed and access was a problem. We got stuck in the snow, locals were fabulous and helped push my car out. Had a bit of a hairy drive up and down the hills, turns out my car has rubbish traction. The downstairs was a little chilly (it was -6 outside) to start with but there’s the fire, heating and an electric heater as well so it was fine after we got it all going.
