Gorgeous Cozy Cottage with a heritage feel, walks, pubs & wood burner

Very cosy cottage. Useful security light when returning in the evening. Lovely seating area at the front of the house.

Needed a fire glove for the woodburner. It was cold in the evening for early september

The location was brilliant close to the centre of the village and we could walk to the local pubs and out into the beautiful countryside. The cottage was cozy, clean and had lovely views of the surrounding countryside. It was very relaxing, peaceful and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The village with all the stone buildings was amazing and was a great location for us to visit Bakewell, Buxton and Chatsworth House. We would definitely stay at Cozy Cottage again.

Really lovely cottage with a mix of old and new character. Great location where you can park the car and leave it for a few days or the Peak District on your doorstep.

Master bedroom looks to have had ceiling damage. Bathroom doesn’t match quality of rest of house decor.

Lovely cottage in a beautiful little village, perfectly situated to access walks and other villages.

I only stayed 4 nights

The cottage is ideally suited a short walking distance from the centre of a delightful village and in the northern region of the Peak District. It is comfortably appointed with two bedrooms upstairs (a very large master bedroom and a small room containing bunks) and a nice bathroom, with a pleasant lounge dining and well appointed separate kitchen downstairs. There is a reserved parking space outside and a small sitting area in the front garden to enjoy the late afternoon sun.

Pets are allowed and my husband noted the throw rug on the lounge smelt a bit doggy and there were a few dog hairs about downstairs. It didn't bother us in the slightest but just for anyone who might be allergic to be aware.
