The Undercoft stylish and elegant private studio at The Old Church House central Frome

Location excellent, near town, pubs, places of interest. Frome had alot to offer, historic, great food, people lovely x Shower great, good pressure, hot x Studio quirky x

Kettle needs replacing , too small. No hot water in kitchenette sink, tap needs securing, Fridge not cold enough, had to buy fresh milk every day. Areas needed more attention to detail to make appt worthy of the word Luxury

We would have liked to park at the property, however the car park was only 100m away!

It was an en suite bedroom without a window. It was stuffy and smelt musty, especially the bathroom. The kitchenette was tiny and should have been called a breakfast station. It needed a toaster rather than a microwave. Our coats became marked with white dust by hanging up on the wall hooks. Overpriced. Don't stay more than a night.

Nicely decorated with a very comfy bed! Nice touch with the curtain covering the door and the bathroom and shower were top notch.

Personally, the pillows weren’t very firm, but that’s a taste thing. The tap for the kitchen sink only had cold water.

The Undercroft is a beautiful and a little unusual accommodation. The hosts were very welcoming and left useful goodies to start us off with. It is exceptionally central and very near cafes, restaurants and shops. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay there. It was a great introduction to Frome.

There were facilities to make drinks etc, but this aspect of the room (I think it is more a room than an apartment) weren’t as good as we’d have liked - both the kettle and the fridge were smaller than I normally see in hotel rooms, and the sink was so small it was actually difficult to wash up the cups etc - particularly as there seemed to be only cold water there. There was an odd selection of cutlery and glasses (only 1 teaspoon for example) and if we had wanted more than one caffeinated coffee each (we were there for 2 nights) we could have paid 50p per extra capsule. Given that the Undercroft is quite pricey, it would have *felt* much better had a better selection of these things been offered. That doesn’t detract from a lovely place, but felt at odds with the kind of upmarket impression that the Undercroft seemed to give. I personally prefer to be able to open windows, but did know in at advance that this wouldn’t be possible, but it was ok.
