Great village location, excellent food, and very helpful staff. it's a pub with room, and it does it very well

It doesn't have its own carpark, so it's on street parking. wasn't a problem for me, I got in two doors down, but just something to bear in mind.

The staff were helpful . The breakfast was plentiful.

The TV did not have an Ariel so no access to live tv. The Sunday menu food was expensive for the quality provided. However the breakfast was good.

lovely location in the heart of Castleton Village. Jonathan was so helpful, nothing was too much trouble at all. Room was comfy and had everything that I needed for the short stay.

With it being a pub expect some noise in the room from the bar below. But, once closed it is very quiet indeed. I'd probably go for a bigger room next time, no complaints with the room I had but I do like more space.
