Riad Lumières du Sud

It was central and had a small terrace.

Lack of facilities. Everything needed a bit of maintenance. Not very good communication in regards to location before arrival and requesting missing items. Owner rude when we arrived.

I like the room on the top with rustic design and garden view. Terrace is just outside the room which is very nice if you want to read a book or eat. Comfy bed and blankets. Very clean toilet.

We couldn't find it on the map and theres no name of the Riad on the door but it says number 19 tho. Got lost in the maze a lot of times going back and forth to the Riad but it's not very far from the shopping area and the square.

Excellent location in the heart of the Medina, 10 minutes walking distance from Jemaa El-Fnaa. Very cosy little riad in typical Moroccan style. Marc, the French owner, is a lovely person, patient with the children, always available and helping his guests with any request.

location wise it's secluded but very close to the centre. it's in a nice quiet location. the triple room is nice and spacious.

we were asked to change rooms in error after one night to move to a smaller room. when we challenged they just let us stay in the correct room that we booked. also we met someone else at the property who was very dissatisfied with their room and showed us it. it smelt of damp and was storing other people's possessions.

We really liked the room, there was a huge comfortable bed, bath in the bathroom that we could use every evening and romantic dimmed lights. The riad has a nice terrace with spectacular views on court with many different types of plants. The owner Marc is a great person. He was very helpful with everything and gave us a lot of advice about how to negotiate in souk, which sights to visit etc.

We would like to have at least one shelf in the room so we could unpack our stuff.

The Riad is in an excellent location in the Medina, close to the Jardin Secret. I loved my room, it overlooked the center of the Riad which is open - unlike some of the other ones I’ve stayed in Morocco - with lots of greenery. Excellent cost-benefit and the best part of it was Aziz, who was always available with prompt communication and suggestions. We spent mornings discussing life, travel and politics over breakfast and I left Marrakech having a new friend. I look forward to being back.

upstairs bedroom and bathroom had too much dimmed lighting. it would be nice to have a bit more lighting in the bathroom
