Location was perfect, next to everything but so quiet and private! Very clean and good quality had a perfect night, wish we had stayed longer. Host was lovely and welcoming. Will definitely be back!

Nothing :-) addition of a hot tub would be amazing but still very good without.

"The perfect place to unwind!"

The perfect place to unwind! Located next to the garden centre cafe and a short walk to the pub but you also feel miles away from anywhere! Beautiful accommodation, beautiful location and James the owner is a fantastic host! We can't wait to return in the near future 😀

SELF CATERING ACCOMMODATION SUITED OUR NEEDS, WITH LOCAL DOG FRIENDLY RESTAURANTS / CAFES. LODGE WAS SITED IN BEAUTIFUL COUNTRY SIDE, WHICH WAS IDEAL FOR DOG WALKS. NOT TOO FAR FROM THE CITY, WHICH WAS AN EASY WALK ALONG THE RIVER. EXCELLENT ALL ROUND.

NOTHING. EVERYTHING WAS PERFECT. WEATHER EXCLUDED--HAIL IN MAY? NOTHING YOU CAN DO ABOUT THE WEATHER, ALL ADDS TO THE HOLIDAY. BE PREPARED FOR ALL WEATHERS!

Everything, short distance to Durham but still rural. immaculate accommodation, you can tell there has been a lot of love put into the place. Spotless, comfortable, great view. James was a lovely host, met at the lodge and had a great chat. His enthusiasm is contagious. I highly recommend this place.
