The Old Wire Factory - 2 bed, Close to city centre, Fast wifi, comfortable home from home

The property is clean, tidy and very nice. Like the living room and kitchen on top floor with the view. It is licated near the restaurant and groceries. Just 5-10 mins walk to city.

Excellent communication via booking.com messages with Tim. Usually responded immediately to any queries and very helpful. Much more helpful than any hotels we have dealt with via booking.com. The Old Wire Factory is a lovely house on three levels. Modern facilities, modern and tasteful decor and as a family of 4 adults we had a great time. I would stay again without hesitation. The kitchen and living area is on the top floor and there are two double bedrooms on the middle and bottom level. Modern clean bathroom on the middle floor also. There is an Amazon Alexa in each bedroom and also the living room and the TV in the lounge area has Netflix, Prime, and all other apps for you to relax.

If I was being picky, I'd say the parking was a bit of a hassle. Difficult to get parked close to the house (about 300 yards away) and while Tim was excellent at sorting a free permit, we only just got parked in the one space available. I appreciate this is something that the host cannot really change! The area is only a 10-15 minute walk into the centre of Bristol. On a separate note - again something that is out of the host's control - the area around the house is a bit run down. I had no problem with this. It's the kind of area that is covered with graffiti - most of it tasteful art, some of it not. I have read one of the other reviews saying the area was "rough". There is some homelessness in the area and the smell of cannabis on the high street but nothing that you wouldn't get in any city centre. I would say have a look on Google street map and make your own mind up but we didn't have any problem even walking back late in the evening.

Unfortunately we wouldn't return to this accommodation or recommend it to families. The accommodation was lovely but the area was awful. There were armed police going into the block of flats opposite at 9pm when I returned from a meal out and 2 nights later there was an awful domestic going on right outside the window. Unfortunately it just didn't feel safe. Such a shame because the place itself was lovely.

I loved the accommodation itself and everything was provided and it was a lovely place to stay in. The bathroom was luxurious and the bedrooms were great.

Wasn't overly keen on the area, very busy and right beside a huge council housing estate. Good access to shops though.

Such a beautiful venue , not far from town and affordably budget friendly!! Comfy beds and the host was very accommodating and friendly!

My only downfall there isn’t any onside parking which is understandable
