Máire Toiréasa – cosy refurbished property in the Gaeltacht Quarter

This is a lovely little place just outside of Belfast city centre. Located on a quiet street, just off a Main Street with lots of takeaways, convenience shops and the odd pub. An easy walk into Belfast with lots to see in terms of the history and past troubles in Northern Ireland. In terms of the property, it has everything that you could need! The welcome basket was much appreciated. The lounge area is comfy and homely and allowed us to take food back at night and chill out. There is a little terrace at the back of the house, with a bench. Had the sun shone, I would have definitely have sat out there with a glass of wine. In a nut shell, all of your needs catered for. I will 100% stay again. In fact I’ll probably never stay anywhere else in Belfast.

My only small issue is the bathroom is downstairs. In the middle of the night seeking a ‘comfort break’ felt a long way to go. Also the shower was a little strange. We couldn’t keep the water in the square box and so went over the bathroom floor. Not a problem really but I did have wet feet.

Had everything we needed. Welcome package very thoughtful and useful, thank you Cathy the host. Close to all amenities and transport to city centre for shopping and sightseeing (Titanic museum, peace walls etc). Would recommend.

Great location, within easy access to the city centre. House is very clean and comfortable , with all you need for a short stay. Cathy is easy to deal with and left a nice welcome basket of goodies. We will definitely return on our next visit.
