The original mosaic floors are just incredible to see. Amenities in kitchen and bath very thoughtfully planned out. The architecture and finishing was ancient and beautiful but somehow felt fresh! Everything was spotless!

Would like the option for softer lighting in main living room and kitchen ie more lamps so overhead lights could be dimmed or turned off later at night.

Excellent location. Host Raffaele met us as arranged, accompanied us to the lockup garage (a 5 minute, flat walk from the apartment), and carried our luggage up to the apartment on the first floor. The apartment was very well appointed — Raffaele has obviously given considerable attention to what his guests might need. Sadly a previous guest was not kind to the mocha coffee pot! The absence of a lift made our departure a bit challenging. We had to leave very early in the morning to get the Corsica ferry, and as my husband has mobility problems I had to get our bags downstairs alone! No hesitation in recommending a stay at Raffaele’s apartment. We will stay there again on our return from Corsica.

Another one-night stop, and expectations low.. But we found that there was much more to see than time available.. The property is located close to the Livorno foreshore (though, in fact, there may have been more than one "foreshore"). The room was comfortable, and we appreciated the (now rare) gesture by the host in leaving some snacks and breakfast supplies. We had a lovely walk along the foreshore, which was full of kids, parents and grandparents enjoying the balmy night, and had a particularly lovely late-night gelato. The flying banners pointing out the exploits of famous Livornese was of particular interest, and the plethora of interesting restaurants, from which emanated delicious fried fish smells, a bonus.

The short distance between the (free!) parking and the accommodation was the only aspect of our stay that even approximated an inconvenience, and that, in any case, was easily overcome (with a bit of healthy exercise..), once at the start and just once at the end of our stay.

Spacious and spotlessly clean

Everything was perfect, Raffaele is very kind, and friendly, the apartment is clean and nice. Highly recommanded. The beautiful building is in the center of the city, a lot of restaurants and bars are nearby.

What a lovely apartment. Gorgeous floors, lovely bathroom, breakfast supplies, lovely ambience. Easy to keep cool on very hot days. Friendly, helpful host. Location was good for us, about a 10 minute walk from centre of Livorno.

We would have liked a toaster (we probably should have asked for one).
