Hotel looked outside like shown on the pictures, 2min walk from Quinta Avenida, sunbeds included, friendly staff

It was so loud that the first thing I did was get earplugs. The room was not very clean, there are stains on some towels and the walls, no real wardrobe - you could only hang some cloths in the bathroom where it is super damp, bed was very uncomfortable. The doors are glass doors facing the pool area, so if you do not properly close the curtains, people can watch you while you are sleeping. The breakfast terrace is super nice with an amazing view, but choices are super limited and it is so windy that you can hardly eat and everything gets cold super fast.

Good location for beach and town. Great beach access. Helpful bar staff. Nice food. Lovely pool area. Great internet access.

Small room with no fridge or tea/coffee facilities. Booked side sea view but only pool view. Was still nice. Very small, hard bed and pillows. This is down to preference though and may be good for some. No late check out available. No tea available really for breakfast. Fine as I had my own but feel everything is aimed at the American market with coffee and not for the UK.

The locality is perfect, right on the beach, 5mins from the bus station, 10mins to the Cozumel ferry and at the beginning of the 5th avenue, however if you have a room facing the sea, its still quiet enough to get some sleep during the night. Its also good if you prefer to eat at local restaurants and spots which are few streets behind the 5th avenue. I like the fact that you can go directly from the pool to the beach and vice versa. It really looked like a paradise. Also the sunbeds and the umbrellas are included at the beach. Which is a nice plus. Plus they have really good margaritas :-) The equipment is basic but sufficient, it would be good to have additional storage for clothes or even in the bathroom which is of course not necessary if you plan to stay only couple of days. However we stayed 9 nights so we had most of our clothes still in the suitcase since there was nowhere to put them. Also it´d be nice to have a small fridge there at least for the water. I understand that the hotel policy is forbidding bringing your own food or drinks to the room however since the restaurant is closing at 6 pm to have water in the room is a necessity.

To be honest I am still a bit disappointed by the towel policy which ruined like half of my stay and also the behavior of the hotel staff regarding this. If you go on holidays and especially to a beach hotel you do not wanna argue that you stained the towels with the chemicals in your sunscreen. Especially when your sunscreens are vegan, bio and specifically designed for sensitive and child skin since you tend to have sun allergy and you use the hotel towels only after taking shower. Beside that - if you name your hotel Beach Hotel you should expect that the guests probably will be using sunscreens and you should adapt to it. I was seriously considering buying our own towels so I do not have to stress and argue with the staff about this later. Unfortunately it lowers the overall quality of the hotel in my opinion which is such a pity, because otherwise it'd be really great stay.

Customer service at check in, and hotel's proximity to dining, entertainment, and beach

Definately needs upgrade, room had smell to mold, old uncomfortable pillows, blanket smelled bad, no stand for suitcase, in the particular room I stayed there was some roaches and small lizards,, to make things worse, when it rained the light switch and power outlets leaked water, a clear electrical hazard,, at least two gallons of water leak, luckily we had the beach towels to keep the water out until it stopped raining. Definitely not worth the price.

After 6pm the beach was closed through main hotel. You had to go around to the main entrance. Rooms were clean poorly, Room had poor maintenance, room door entrance was very difficult to open, hotel areas were under construction, room we booked said it was with ocean view and we didn’t get.
