Kinta Kan Cabañas Hotel Playa del Carmen

It was a good location ,it used to be the Wawa bar they made it into a hotel with a swimming pool which is okay. Everybody was really nice.

Rooms are really outrageously high for what they give you. $100 a night you get an oceanfront view. You cannot go on to the balconies, through the sliding glass door because there is no balcony. Bathrooms are small there's barely enough room for two people in the rooms . The beds are as hard as a rock it is like sleeping on the floor you like a hard bed this will be the place to be. Storm the night before, we woke up with water all over the floor. Breakfast was included in the oceanfront rooms which was scrambled eggs 3 cubes of potato and some beans ,coffee , and juice. Coffee cups are small as my granddaughter's tea set. The air condition did not work the first night they had to come in and fix it the next day. We decided to leave.

We did not receive breakfast with our room but there was plenty of great cultural and local food close to our hotel. Personnel were very attentive to our needs once we got situated.

Breakfast could of been included for the price we paid. The electricity was out and we had to stay at the beach longer then expected. The 3rd day the water pump issues but they were nice enough to give us a key to another location to use the showers. It was only a minor inconvenience.

Breakfast included was simple but good. Pancakes would’ve made it better!

Dirty beds, towels. La cabaña rooms are terrible strong humidity odor and lack of maintenance. I had to change rooms to the main facility which are a bit better. Didn't try the food therefore i can't provide my opinion.

The location is amazing with good view.

The towel policy is totally not healthy. They make you sign on a pledge that they don’t change the towels except every three days!! Even if the towels are wet and dirty they tell you just hang it outside and it will dry!!!

Great location from the ferry dock. Stayed here many times before.

The views from the king size room were incredible, and the staff at the beach bar were lovely. The bed was also very comfortable. Good location near 5th avenue, where there's lots of restaurants and bars to choose from.

This wasn't a 4* hotel. We waited 15+ minutes to check-in as there was no one on reception/staff nearby. It was very off-putting to sign a document at check-in which warns that there is a fine for any stains on towels from sunscreen. There were also no beach towels available to take out to the beach. The beach bar closes at 6pm, and is shut off with an ugly metal gate, which means there's then no access to the beach other than from a side entrance further down. The bathroom mat had a hole in it from so much wear and tear.

Close to the Ferry and ADO bus station. Clean and quiet.

The property closes the beach access from from hotel. You just have to walk around the front. They say it’s for safety. I get it.
