Spencer bridge by AFL

I booked this room for my brother. His contact details were provided, he had all the booking details and was told to call upon arrival. When he did so he was told he could not be checked in over the phone. The person was so unhelpful that he ended up needing to buy a room at a premier inn instead.

It was ideally placed for us to walk to the rugby stadium .The room was clean and tidy and served our purpose . . Access to the building was simple.

There was supposed to be tea ,coffee, etc. available to guests plus fresh fruit, but there was nothing. We were given the wifi details, but we could not .find the wifi provider . We tried with four different phones, but none of us could find it. We only stayed one night, so it did not matter.

Not much, I got moved from my original booking close walking distance to the stadium twice. I got given 2 different accommodations after my original fell through for reasons unknown to me. I was relocated so far away from the stadium I had to arrange travel which was not why I had booked. I booked Spencer Bridge purposely. If I had known they'd move me I never would've stayed where I stayed. Problems getting in with the front door key, late at night. Room hadn't been vacuumed properly.

Location. Communal areas like hallway, kitchen, etc Mucking me around and not staying where I booked at Spemcer Bridge. This review is NOT for Spencer Bridge but for East somewhere so far away from where I booked! Very disappointed.

The property was neat and I enjoyed my stay.

Unable to comment as We received a call from the management of the choosen property on the day a couple of hours prior to arrival informing me that we could no longer stay there. They offered us another location. We accepted as we didn't have any alternative option as Northampton had an event on and everywhere was fully booked . We were told it was near ..it was 3 miles away and was awful. Tiny room with one chair. Window wasn't fire safely regulations and we the room certainly wasn't value of what we had paid. We didn't sleep as it was unsafe should there have been a fire. We just sat there until the morning. I contacted the agent and requested it refund but no response with regard to this. It was by far the worse place we've ever stayed in . Will never book with that agent again. Have contacted booking.com
