Marriott Executive Apartment - Lakeside Chalet, Mumbai

The staff was super friendly and helpful. Very quiet and clean place. And the gym was amazing, to keep my workouts in day.

The location is great. We picked the hotel as our children have additional needs so we needed a quiet base away from the hustle and bustle of the city.

The hotel pool was not available despite email confirmation in the days leading up to us going that we could use it. We arrived to find it was undergoing planned maintenance and nobody had told us. The apartment pool is not fit for purpose, it is dirty with tiles falling off and no food and beverage service. In addition there was noisy construction right next to the pool that we were not informed of, which was distressing for my children as they don’t like loud noises. Had we been told about this prior to arrival we would have stayed elsewhere. Finally, Marriott have clearly spent all the money on the hotel and let the apartments go to wrack and ruin. They are badly in need of decorating and new furniture. We had to move from our first apartment as it smelt so bad. Given the price we were paying, all of these factors were hugely disappointing and we did not get what we paid for.

It was excellent. As I was staying for a long time (more than a week) I got a higher floor. Which was excellent. I have many allergies so I had many does and don'ts for various things. The room, the food. All was taken care of by the staff. My food would be specially prepared for me without an extra charge. In short, I got the taste of Mumbai not having to worry about the side effects! The facilities were great too. The free Laundromat service was helpful and easy to use. Loved the spa and the complimentary ride with it!
