Camp Almanor at Big Springs

The property was clean and interior of the cabin as described. Friendly staff and easy check in. Check out instructions were clear.

Lake view was a little misleading. Technically you could see the lake only from the front door, in the distance, and through the trees but I wouldn’t necessarily call that lake view. The shores were not visible you can only really see the top of the lake on the horizon. Also one of the windows was not lockable. I had to use a stick to ensure it couldn’t be opened while I was gone

The place was really nice, quite, and clean. I didn’t expect to have all the fa, kitchen appliances, equipment, etc. Bedding was so nice, towels OMG, better than many Hotel & resorts I know. I definitely recommend for family trips. The location it’s very convenient, it’s close to Chester city, Volcanic National Park, and Almanor Lake, witch it’s a nice place to spend if you have kids, or just to enjoy the aquatic activities.

Great location for exploring Lassen National Park. Our host, Patty, was extremely kind and welcoming.

The main bed was a little too small and the mattress was too soft. But the other 2 beds were fine. The sofa wasn’t very comfortable and should probably be replaced- but we didn’t come to sit around the lodge! :)

I thought the cabins were cute and it had a lot of amenities.

Definitely won’t do one with a bunk bed against the wall. We just didn’t sleep good and a futon was not a comfortable idea either.
