Camp Almanor at Big Springs

Convenient location for my weekend activities. Host was friendly and attentive.

At 6' 4", the very low ceiling between the 'small living room to the bedroom' can be a major 'head knocker' for those who forget to keep their head down...Especially in the bathroom and shower...

No AC, poor amenities and lake views, photos are inaccurate, hot water heater is small

The property listing did a poor job in making it clear there was NO air conditioner and NO television.

Nothing regarding the stay. The manager did make the effort to correct a serious problem, although it was as unprofessional as anything I've ever experienced. All due to the owners refusal to stand by the email I received confirming a request I'd made.

I was emailed a confirmation that my request for a place and electrical outlet for my boat would be provided. The owner then refused to provide either. I was forced to park my boat 1/2 mile from the resort at a private residence. Not only will I never stay again, I doubt I will use booking.com anymore. Between the resort, me, and booking.com, I was the one who got treated like I was nothing when I was the only one who followed through with my word

The place was charming. Sandy, the host was fabulous!! Just needed air conditioning
