Very welcoming host, attentive and caring for guests welfare. Comfortable and clean rooms, great nreakfast. Lovely historic pub as neighbour.

What a perfect little gem Over the bridge is……This guest house is the most welcoming place we have ever stayed with Trevor being the funniest friendliest host. The attention to detail is outstanding the decor is stunning the Yorkshire pudding breakfast is a must and the thought thats gone into the entire building is superb. Could not find a negative it’s just the best!!we will definitely be back. Thank you so much Trevor Guy snd Dexter the dog for being so wonderful x

That I don’t live there

The owners went above and beyond to make us feel welcome in their beautiful home. Warm and cosy. Everything we needed was provided.

Great location for our wedding venue at the Fleece Inn. Beautiful guest house with a lot of character. Great welcome by owners. We did have a problem. When we were getting ready to leave for the wedding, my son discovered he had left his suit trousers at home, so as you can imagine the panic. We turned to Richard, the owner, who offered to run my son to tescos, which was the nearest place where my son could try and get some trousers. (15-minute drive there and back) Thankfully, my son came back with a pair of trousers, and we made it to the venue with a few minutes to spare. Richard went above and beyond, and we were grateful for what he did. Full English breakfast was spot on too. Plenty to choose from.

As I am a light sleeper I heard the church bell/chime go off, which appeared to be every half hour. None of my other family heard it.

The property was really lovely and both hosts were amazing! Went above and beyond during our stay. Breakfast was really nice and I loved the little touches in the bedrooms where there were plasters, toothbrush, toothpaste etc! Added bonus of the beautiful dog too!!

Lovely guest house, tastefully decorated and expertly run by a very lovely host, who went out of his way to make sure I had an enjoyable stay. Excellent value for money and with the added benefit of a great little pub, serving good food, less than a minute’s walk away, over a gorgeous little bridge. Enjoyed chatting with you Trevor and your breakfast was perfect! Will definitely stay again if in the area.

Everything was great!

The rooms were a lot nicer than expected, the host was wonderful and very welcoming and the breakfast was delicious! The host went above and beyond when I told him we were staying for a very special occasion so thankyou again!

The property far exceeded our expectations. The hosting was excellent very warm and friendly. Breakfast was a delight and we would recommend highly. We will be returning.
