Coconut Cottage - Hiriketiya Beach

The Villa is perfect for a family stay in Hiriketiya. Comfortable and close to restaurants and beautiful beaches, but in a quiet and calm place in the middle of a the nature. Gale, the owner was really helpful during all our stay and make it even better

Peacefully sublime and serene Google maps brought us  directly to the cottage and found this wonderful private home on its own section fully screened for privacy. Andy met us at the taxi and took us through the property. He was great to interact with, full of information and happily answering all of our questions. The home is a very spacious two bedroom dwelling which is been tastefully decorated. There are air conditioning units in each of the respective bedrooms and the large living room has a high ceiling fan as does the dining room. A toilet room is off the kitchen. And the shower room is an external outhouse building in proximity to the pool. The plunge pool area is beautiful with sun loungers and a lovely seated area under a cabanious-like structure surrounded by mature tropical planted gardens. The Wi-Fi is excellent very fast and covers the whole property. We spent 3 days here and thoroughly enjoyed our time. And he was able to direct us to one of his friends who could rent us a scooter which was invaluable in our exploration of the surrounding Hinterland. We were a short 10 minute walk down to the beach and local restaurants. This is a truly fantastic place to stay when visiting the area and I will definitely try and come back. I would highly recommend staying here.

We loved everything! It is so nicely built and decorated, all the rooms are so pretty and cosy, the garden and pool a little piece of paradise, your own gate and porch, nice linnen pillows tableware etc. It’s brand new and done with so much love. The street is very nice with lovely neighbors there to help if needed, the best coffee place Duni’s, 2 minutes to the beach and a small supermarket. After 5 months of travel this was one of our favorite places and really felt like home. Andy is also a very nice guy who is always easily available for question.

Book this place, you won’t regret! Note that the house does not have airco but lots of very good fans.

Great location, everything you need is in walking distance. Great little house, well equipped for a comfortable stay! The monkeys were great entertainment! Thank you for having us!
