Arrived at the property only to be told it had been double booked and they had booked us a room at a travel lodge

Couldnt actually get into the property. Had pre paid on booking, got a message from the property day before asking if I was still coming. I replied say yes, please send me check in details... Nothing. Couldn't gain access to room

The room was very clean. The tea and coffee were very well stocked. The owner was polite and friendly. Plenty of parking.

The pub on site has closed down. We struggled to find somewhere to eat. Thankfully we chatted with one of the locals in a nearby pub who sent us to the local village.

Didn’t even manage to check in to the property. I tried to contact the property & it was for a completely different hotel. Luckily I had a taxi available but had to pay for a 20minute trip back home.

Incorrect contact details to get into the property that was locked up when I arrived.

The photos showed a restaurant but the pub has been closed for more than a year, not in the details when booking. They are meant to text you a code for the key safe, they didn’t do this and when calling them they said this over the phone and didn’t message so not saved anywhere: they detail a coffee machine and wine/champagne for guests but there was none in the room and when messaging them we were ignored. There was nothing open nearby, we were expecting to eat and drink in the pub but it is closed down. If we had not had a car with us this would be more expense to go to a shop. The closed down pub we’re using chainsaws on one of the trees at nearly 11pm at night. We ordered uber eats and a woman from the closed down pub intercepted my delivery and started questioning the driver about who he was delivering to. When we complained to booking com after no response from the accommodation they failed to respond or agreed to do anything to resolve with booking com. It’s not worth the money paid for it’s nothing more than a very basic air bnb
