Clean comfortable room

Pub no longer open. So nowhere to go in the evening. Never saw a member of staff.

We liked the little cottage look of rooms. The first one was not cleaned for us. So, I had to report this. Then advised to move to a new room.

The bed was lumpy, especially on the end and also sides of the mattress. You sunk extremely low into it. Springs had gone. Room looks tired overall. The bathroom was not clean, especially around the shower and on the skirting. The pub is actually closed, which we were not made aware of. There was a lot of rubbish in the back garden of the pub. People dumping more rubbish, sofas, etc, over the fence from a van with several men. It was very early and noisy on our last day because they parked close to our room and car. Overall, we would not return here. They can not help the noise from the road, but it could be finished off better and be made clean with a good matress/bed.

I had previously enjoyed stays there but the system was different where you booked in at the pub reception and the pub was actually operating.

There were no actual people to book in with. All done by a keylock system. I was given the code to my chalet by phone but when I opened it there was someone staying there! So I had to phone to find out what had happened and was then given another room. The system had messed up. This didn't give me any sense of security as a lone female occupier especially as the inside security light was triggered 2x in the same night waking me up to a bright light( probably due to a powercut) but there is no one on site to contact and to check it out. It was very worrying and stressful. You only have telephone numbers you can contact who are not on site. Finally the cleanliness was not as I remember it with dirty teaspoons, coffee cup stains on the side and paper stuck in the sink overflow and sticky patches on the floor. Also the pub itself was closed so you couldn't get food, drinks etc( the cleaner thought it was being refurbished). Overall I felt I had been ripped off and regretted not staying at a cheaper but more reliable ,clean venue where I'm guaranteed security and a peaceful nights rest!!! Overall I felt I had been ripped off

Room was clean and modern Shower was powerful

Messaged to say we would be there at 8.30pm No answer which was fine I was just warning them Got there in the dark, Pub was shut so we had no idea how to check in. Found a poster near the accommodation which had two phone numbers on Phoned both numbers no answer Sat in car thinking Tried to phone again and thankfully someone answered and told us it was a key code (which could of been emailed or texted to me as we rushed to get there before check in closed at 9pm) The guy told us the code over the phone, unfortunately it was so dark and the room we got number one had a dim light outside so was hard to see the code box as couldn't use the phone torch as needed to use the phone, so that in turn meant we were unable to place the key back in the box upon leaving at 8am so couldn't remember code number for the box. After that we tried to find somewhere to eat for tea Would of loved to stop off to eat on way there but pushed for time as check in closed at 9pm Anyway a shit show of a check in Hopefully if your reading this you get a better experience Plus side close by is a sausage cafe which was great for breakfast

The room was excellent well appointed and very stylish. I have no issues with the quality of the room.

It clearly says on Booking.com that there is a restaurant. The restaurant is closed and there are no facilities for food within 4 miles. It should be clearly stated on the website that this is the case.

We didn’t actually stay at the property as we weren’t told until we’d booked that there were no onsite facilities due to refurb. We have been trying to get a refund for the past fees and still not received!

The room was nicely decorated and very clean. Great lighting in the bathroom for getting ready for a wedding, and attention to detail like a coffee machine and a kettle. Check in was super easy, and there was plenty of parking available. It's a five minute walk to a popular breakfast cafe as well, which was appreciated when we found out the pub was shut! We stayed for two nights, visiting friends nearby.

The rooms are basically in the car park of a closed pub, on an A road. It's a shame the pub was closed, this wasn't clear when we booked and did mean that it felt a bit spooky and lonely. The road is also really loud, and popular with motorbikes for the cafe, so it's not great for light sleepers. The light from the car park also shone through the window in our door, so a curtain there would have been nice. The pillows were lumpy, the sheets were a bit rough and there was no iron.
