The Old Talbot Rooms Milton Keynes

Property was clean and beautiful. Amazing size and perfect for couples night away as well as the porch and beautiful view from the door. Included facilities that were above average such as coffee machine, TV with internet, streaming services and a stand up fan that was used through out the whole of our stay due to it being hot. The bathroom was amazing new, clean towels provided and a good size shower.

Even though the property was in a beautiful location it is out the way with not many ways of getting to places other than taxis or you drive. A coffee machine was provided however there was no coffee pods and also did not have a lot of milk for teas and coffees. The self check in system is great however was hard to get in contact with the number that was provided on a chalk board due to service and a code had not been sent to me to let ourselves into the room (would recommend calling them before you arrive if you have not received a code). There is no where to leave luggage and had to ask staff in the pub who were rude to us, they let us leave luggage there but made out like it was a chore. The toilet seat was unfortunately broken when we got there which was slightly uncomfortable however was still useable.

The site itself was easy to find with no problems once there was plenty of parking outside the room. which was really good. the room was set out really well, so welcoming a large tv and a little outside table and chairs to be able to sit out in the sun. even though it's on a main road, you could not hear the traffic. Overall Excellent little gem which is perfect for me. would definitely stay again

The only shame is the pub/restaurant was closed for refurbishment. which was not a problem made it more peaceful

No breakfast, restaurant was under going refurbishment, had to ask twice for milk, no room service each day. List of items needed attention left in the room

Everything you needed was in the room. Mini fridge would be great. Coffee machine was a nice touch but would of been great to have coffee pods

Beautifully decorated. Spotlessly clean. Comfy and cosy. Every little detail was taken into consideration with facilities. The cordial bottles with the water are a lovely touch. Outdoor seating was a lovely bonus.

There were no toiletries in the bathroom apart from a small bar of soap. Road noise could be an issue at busy times.

We have stayed here a few times and every time the staff and the rooms are outstanding! The rooms are like home from home! The staff are always so helpful and polite can’t recommend this place enough.

Nothing, but we do wish the rooms had a mini fridge so we could keep drinks etc cold.
