Seaside Cottage, Burntisland, Fife

View every morning by and night was spectacular. Location is secluded without being too far aways.

Getting to the property requires going through a very small driveway, a bit unnerving at first and can make the property hard to find.

We had a wonderful stay celebrating my mum’s 70th birthday. We travelled with my mum, my aunt and our little dog, and the cottage was perfect for us. The beds were very comfortable with good-quality bedding and excellent blackout blinds. The stairs up to the mezzanine are steep, as mentioned, but they were manageable — even for my 70-year-old mum, who slept up there without any issues. The cottage is lovely overall. It was a little cold when we first arrived but warmed up quickly. We really appreciated the thoughtful touches such as the nice hand wash, good-quality toilet roll, large fluffy towels and a complimentary bottle of wine. The views from every room are beautiful, whatever the weather, and our dog loved sitting at the window taking it all in. The kitchen is compact but very well equipped with everything you need. We ate out most evenings, but the air fryer was especially handy for sausages one morning. The bathroom is finished to a high standard and the shower was excellent. The TV had plenty of channels and access to all the apps we needed, the WiFi was reliable, and the Bluetooth speaker was a lovely bonus for music. The owners had also provided books, and we brought along our own card games, which made for very relaxing evenings. Overall, the cottage has everything you need. The owners were friendly and accommodating, and we can’t wait to return. Thank you again for a lovely stay.

Location is superb, amazing view and access to beach, local shops and restaurants. WiFi good, parking good.

Could be spruced up by replace carpet in living room with wooden flooring.

The views from the lounge were exceptional and the outdoor seating was amazing. The host was kind enough to leave a bottle of wine and everything you need in the property. The location is great for exploring Fife and Edinburgh!

The upstairs beds were very uncomfortable and the mattresses don’t fit on the frames properly and the backsplash of the cooker was quite dirty. We have a big car and can only just squeeze it in through the small tunnel to reach the property but once through there is plenty of parking space.

Amazing location within easy walking distance of the town and fantastic views. The cottage was clean and comfortable with everything you need. Would recommend.
