"Very good"

8.0

Amazing location, beautiful views. Good sized accommodation downstairs, limited headspace upstairs, but full information provided, so we were well aware. Home was well equipped with plenty towels. Ample parking.

An extra tea towel would be the only additional benefit.

"Fantastic Burntisland cottage with amazing views"

10.0

Fantastic location and views. Good sized twin bedrooms. Safe location. Parking right outside. Very clean and fresh. Cosy and nicely decorated. Amazing views over the sea - really special. Handy location for catching direct train to Edinburgh.

Worth noting the ‘very low’ 1.3m bridge to access the property and the train running right behind the property frequently all day (not too offensive and it didn’t really bother us but it is momentarily noisy)

"A picture perfect property that made our stay all the more satisfying, so much so we stayed an extra two days"

10.0

The property was a cottage it consists of a beautiful garden next to the sea, with a wooden patio set that will be ideal to relax and watch time go by in the warmer months. Its own private parking and its location was private in its entirety as in no one had any public access It’s had period features like sash windows and old solid wood interior doors, high ceilings and tastefully decorated throughout. A functional bathroom with an amazing shower and ample room. The kitchen was well equipped and we didn’t want for anything. The kitchen and dining room are linked and can easily accommodate 6 people comfortably, this leads up a spiral staircase to a mezzanine floor which has two beds it would be ideal if you have children, we slept in the spacious bedroom downstairs that had loads of cupboard space in the fitted wardrobes.. the beds are very comfortable, we took our dog Ben, he jumps up on the bed so we took loads of big covers and bed spreads so as not to get anything dirty. Which we also put on the furniture just in case! The WiFi was excellent I worked in the evening and had no issues at all. We also took our firestick so we could watch our programs in the evening There is the sands pub at the top of the street, 2 mins walk away. Fantastic again and a supermarket 2 mins drive away. It really has everything in a 2mins drive away!

Nothing, just as a heads up, there is no washing machine but two mins to the centre there is a fantastic laundrette.

"Fantastic beach house"

9.0

This cottage is beautiful and is situated in a fantastic area, when the tide is out, a rocky and sandy beach is accessible right next to the property and when the tide is in the sea is very close and if watching and hearing the waves is something you enjoy, it's a treat to be able to do it right from the front porch! Regardless of the tide, another sandy beach is barely a couple of minutes walk away followed by a playpark, a skatepark, a swimming pool with slides and a co-op which should have everything you need. This was perfect for myself, my wife (whose account this is!), our 2 girls aged 6 and 11 and our small dog. The property was clean, spaceous and really well situated for a lovely beach break :)

What wasn't so perfect was the slippy steps up to one of the bedrooms, my wife was petrified an accident would happen so we made sure our kids only ever went up to the room without socks on! Luckily no such accidents were had. Something a little strange that we overlooked was that the property has no washing machine nor anywhere to dry clothes other than the small towel rack in the bathroom. For the owners I would urge if it's not possible to swap the dishwasher for a washer/dryer then please provide some racks to put clothes near a radiator as the radiators are the types that you can't put clothes on, with the beach and pool being so close, guests are bound to get a bit soggy! A couple of other things that would've come in handy are a measuring jug and some oil for cooking and also some dish cloths. I initially thought there were no dishwasher tablets provided because they were in the closet in the bedroom rather than in the kitchen. I also couldn't find any bin bags and only realised as such when leaving the property so had to leave a bagless bin.

"Small but perfectly located!"

8.0

What a great location.Wonderful views over the Firth of Forth. A short walk to the local shops and amenities. Compact but comfortable accommodation. Warm and cosy. Straight onto the beach for the dogs!

Kitchen is very small, but perfectly workable and was fine for us. The spiral staircase and low headroom in the attic bedroom need to be considered when booking,, but again fine with us.
