Hotel Devraj Niwas on Lake Pichola

Great location at a great price. The restaurant on the roof top is GREAT - really nice food and a beautiful view.

One of our rooms lost aircon, which in the peak of summer is a must (and something that was meant to be provided). The pool also doesn’t smell very good when you first walk in.

The experience fell far below expectations and did not match the standards that were portrayed at the time of booking. To begin with, the swimming pool was in a very poor and unhygienic condition. Based on the images and descriptions provided, we expected a clean and well-maintained pool. However, in reality, the water appeared unclean, and the overall maintenance was highly disappointing. This was one of the key amenities we were looking forward to, and it was extremely upsetting to find it in such a state. Additionally, the cleanliness of the room itself was not up to the mark. The bedsheets provided were stained, which is completely unacceptable from a hygiene standpoint. Such negligence reflects poorly on the standards of housekeeping and raises serious concerns about overall sanitation. The most frustrating issue, however, was the room arrangement. Despite clearly being a couple, we were provided with twin beds instead of a proper double bed. This was not communicated in advance and was highly inconvenient. As a couple, we expect basic consideration in terms of comfort and appropriate room allocation. This oversight significantly affected our stay experience. Overall, the stay did not justify the expectations set by your property, and we feel disappointed with the level of service provided. I request you to take this matter seriously and ensure that such issues are addressed promptly to prevent future guests from facing similar inconveniences. I would also appreciate it if you could look into this matter and provide a suitable resolution or compensation for the inconvenience caused.
