"Excellent and relaxing stay after 2 days in Petra"

Loved the traditional decor in the room and around the grounds in this former Ottoman village. Great character. Comfortable beds. Robes and slippers. Great Breakfast buffet. Quiet. Restaurant on site.

Others might not like that it’s 15m drive to Petra. (You need your own transportation.) 4:30am and 6:30am wake-up calls from the nearby Mosque. (This will be almost anywhere near Petra.) Dinner buffet was a little expensive (better to eat across from the Petra visitor center).

Exceptionally friendly staff. Stunning views. Amazing flat breads baked fresh for each meal, and good food variety. Really unique experience.

Sadly the pool wasn’t open the day we wanted to use it, and the gym was a bit underwhelming (but very functional).

"I appreciate the fact that this is an effort to make an experience of cave dwelling, but it falls short by a long mile."

The photos. The travel photos on the site about the property or by far the best thing about this property.

It is really poorly maintained and run. There is the scent of cat urine all over the property, the bathrooms have no ventilation, and the rooms are claustrophobic and poorly furnished. The decor comprises, some flea market, bric-a-brac, and some very ugly, modern, lighting and tapestry. I thought the worst thing about the rooms is the fact that they lack ventilation; there are no windows are such. In our room, the window overlooked the passage, so it could not be opened. And once you shut the front door, you feel as though you are in a cave. For those who enjoy this kind of experience, it may suit your purpose, but for me, I felt it was really claustrophobic and also made the room smell musty.

The receptionists were welcoming, staff are nice and professional, breakfast was delicious, room decorations were mesmerizing. The outdoors are worth staying in for an extra day to spend at the hotel to enjoy it.
