Carrick Cottage - Mourne Mountains

So quiet and peaceful, everything you need for an excellent break.

For anyone who visits the Silent Valley or Annalong regularly this is a well known spot, being previously the Carrick Cottage Tearooms. It’s always been a charming little cottage with amazing views looking out over Annalong below, and the Isle of Mann and Cooley Peninsula in the distance. The tearooms are now a cosy sitting room and double bedroom, both with a wood burning stove, and there is a modern kitchen and walk in shower room to the side. Despite its rustic appearance the cottage is clean, dry, warm, with good wifi. An outdoor hot tub (again with a wood burning stove), ice baths, and a sauna have been added, and I understand more is to come. We had a fabulous evening in the hot tub, enjoying the last of the sunlight, and a bottle of Veuve Clicquot we’d been saving for a special occasion.

This cottage is so homey. The bed was super comfy and cosy. You are able to cook dinner/meals in the kitchen. There’s everything you need. Great outdoor seating areas where you can look at the gorgeous views
