Sunny Beachside Apt with Free Parking

Heating was off when we arrived. Outside temp was -1C, windows were open to try and remove the strange aroma . Thermostat showed flat was 9C, we got the heating going it took several hours to get the room warm. Bedding felt damp with the cold.

Location was close to where I needed to be and communication was good with the owner,for a 2 bed apartment it was value for money.

A bit tired in general but had everything you needed and the communal area was tired as well,but was worth the money for a 2 bed apartment.

Perfect location for what we wanted. Good communication from the host. Quick to respond to our phone when we arrived at the property. Clear instructions on how to get the key & where to leave it when we left.

Sadly very cold when we arrived, 11C, although host quick to reply to our phone call & gave clear instructions on how to turn the boiler on. Took a while for the property to warm up. Only one wine glass. No hand towel or tea towels.

We picked this place because we needed to be in this spot. The enormous living room sofa was cozy.

Previous reviews noted the beds were uncomfortable but the owner claims they'd been replaced with new ones from Dunelm. That may or may not be the case. When we stayed, both mattresses were terribly uncomfortable (they dipped in the middle). Everyone slept badly. The bathroom smelled strongly of mildew and the carpets were unspeakably dirty. The bathroom lock is broken. The hallway up to the flat is very dirty and unwelcoming. Although this place is in a nice neighbourhood, the place is grubby and expensive for what it is.

Communal entrance dirty and stank of cigarettes ( not from rental flat so probably nothing can be done to change it) but did feel this let it down.

A guaranteed car park space at the property. The seating was nice and comfortable.

There wasn't enough surface space to put your stuff on in the bathroom or bedroom, maybe could put a small chest of drawers in bedroom? Otherwise everything else was fine .
