It is important to note that since we are located in a conservation area, there is an enfrance fee of $35 per person, payable in cash at the gate. Additionnally, there is a stay tax of $29.4 per night if you stay in a room and $35.4 if you stay in a tent, payable to the rangers using a credit card. Die Lodge ist schön angelegt und die Zimmer sind gut ausgestattet, wenn auch nachts aufgrund der fehlenden AC kaum eine Abkühlung möglich ist. Das Frühstück ist umfangreich.

Der Pool muss alle paar Tage geleert und neu aufgefüllt werden. Dies dauert fast den gesamten Tag, sodass wir den Pool an einem Tag kaum nutzen konnten. Wie auch in anderen Lodges, kommt es häufiger zu Stromausfällen. Es gibt nur im Restaurantbereich WiFi. Wir haben bei der Ankunft bei den dortigen Guides (die nicht direkt zur Lodge gehören) eine Tour zum Wasserfall und zum Lake Natron gebucht (und bezahlt) - angeblich war es dann aber am nächsten Tag aufgrund einer Sperrung des Weges nicht möglich zum Wasserfall zu gelangen, sodass wir nur zum Lake Natron gefahren sind. Eine Rückerstattung für die nicht stattgefundene Wanderung zum Wasserfall gab es leider keine. Außerdem haben wir keinen Beleg für die Zahlung der Conservation Fees erhalten, wie sonst üblich. Zwar hatten wir keine Probleme als wir das Gate passiert sind, jedoch haben wir trotzdem ein ungutes Gefühl bekommen.

"Excellent budget option in a remote part of Tanzania"

We stayed two nights in a family bungalow. Apart from intermittent electricity, which must be expected given the remote location, we were very happy with our stay. Excellent food. Excellent service and attitude. As a budget option it is well placed. It's not easy to get to, so if you are adventurous enough to come then you don't mind the rough roads or limited WIFI, you appreciate the lunar landscape and sacred mountain that could blow at any time.... We liked it.

"Un site reposant et des prestations de qualité"

Un personnel à l'écoute (merci Marco) et un superbe site font de cet endroit un hébergement de qualité. l'eau qui alimente la piscine provient de la rivière et elle est étonnamment chaude. Les vaches tondent l'herbe et les repas sont parfaits.

Si vous êtes une famille réservez les nouvelles cases indépendantes très grandes et très confortables car les chambres à trois lits simples sont exiguës

Für den Ort ist es einfach zu teuer. Das Camp wird eigentlich nur für overnight-Stopps der touristentransporter genutzt
