Newly Refurbished 2 Bedroom Apartment Weston-Super-Mare

The location was good for us for our regular family visits to Weston. Good access to facilities that were useful, and easy access into town. We'd happily rebook if it had an update, we visit frequently so would be nice to find a new base and this would work for us.

Tired apartment in places with broken furniture, that could do with an update. A good kitchen clean and review of kitchen facilities would be useful. We also had no power on arrival, which whilst we appreciate couldn't be helped, noone answered the emergency contact number, which would be a worry if there was a real emergency and contact was needed.

The location is easy to find. Getting to the apartments is also easy and clear. The apartments themselves are clean, the kitchen is fully equipped. Excellent value for money. Everything is great for a short stay.

There were five of us, so one had to sleep in the living room and the bed was very uncomfortable.

The location was convenient and it was comfortable although the seating was inadequate and one of the dining chairs was too wobbly to risk sitting on

The fridge/freezer and cooker were dirty. We had to clean the fridge before risking putting food in it. The freezer had questionable leftovers in it. Under the sofa was filthy - we dropped a button. We had to wipe the headboards off with wet wipes as they were covered in thick dust. The bathroom stank of must and there was mould under the sunk. The showerhead attachments were broken so you could only shower by holding it up - very awkward when washing long hair. The apartment is on the 2nd floor which is not mentioned and there is no lift. Not good for 2 arthritic old ladies. The key was in a box on the floor full of water cobwebs and spiders and the cover was smashed. Very difficult to find and access. The rugs need a good clean. The broom handle has been broken off the head making it unusable. The hoover had so much hair and rubbish wrapped around the roller it was not picking up. We only used the hob due to the state of the cooker... the blind in the smaller bedroom had been broken

Layout good beds comfy.

Broken blind 2nd bedroom, bathroom taty paint falling off shower head not secure, could do with extension 2nd bed as no socket by bedside, and another small table as enter, lounge need nest of tables, bit of mess next to sofa.

Absolutely appalling communication. Not a single one of my messages was acknowledged, let alone answered. The complete disregard for guests is shocking, and I would strongly advise against booking this property. A dreadful and unacceptable experience from start to finish.

The flat was very clean, spacious, very well equipped. Great TV and WiFi in place. A few bits need some TLC but nothing to complain a out.

Sadly the communication with host were problematic. Whilst initial communication was good, the photos for finding the external door key did not come through and it took a day before we managed to get these. We were lucky that the door remained unlatched or we'd seriously struggle to get in. Also - we booked for two adults and two teenage boys, counting on the sofa bed but we did not receive beddings for it and host said it won't be possible on the day. Luckily we have family around we could source some from. In short - flat totally met our expectations but inattentive host on check in afternoon could have ended up really badly.
