When booking, please provide Thornbank House with your approximate arrival time, and your mobile telephone number (if available). Guests can enjoy use of the spa and fitness facilities at the Choices Health Club, which is 2 miles from the property. There are complimentary passes for the swimming pool, sauna, steam room, jacuzzi, solarium and gym. Thornbank will keep your card details in case of any damage or policy breaches. The hotel reserves the right to pre-authorize the guarantee card up to the full amount of the booking. The total room occupancy includes all children and infants. Room occupancy cannot be exceeded. The free gym and spa is subject to availability, located 10 minutes drive from the property.This property does not accommodate bachelor(ette) or similar parties. Everything. Jane was lovely, made me a beautiful breakfast and also give me a nice 8 mile walk to do which I very enjoyed. All round perfect stay.

Only thing would have been to have a little fridge in the room to keep water/drinks chilled. But everything was perfect and I will definitely be returning. Thanks again.

"We had nice experiences in Windermere."

The rooms are well maintained and comfortable. Breakfast is freshly made, tasty and a lot. The building itself locates on a quiet road beside the main road. Easy to park. Heater is on a comfortable temperature.

Friendly hosts, very welcoming and personable. Cooked breakfast was delicious with good sausages. Great location and a wonderful walking book you can borrow.

"Very Good Accommodation to explore Bowness and Windermere"

Very clean with plenty of space. Good quality comfortable beds and linens Well equipped bathroom Nice welcome tray of biscuits on arrival Good breakfast Easy self check in Clear communication up to arrival and during stay Friendly and pleasant hosts The offsite leisure facilities included are a short bus ride away and very good (make sure to take your own lock if you want to use one of the lockers at the leisure facilities).

Would prefer not to have to order what you want for breakfast the night before as it is hard to know what you will want in the morning, but this was only a minor point and breakfast was nice and well presented. The parking facilities are too tight for larger cars , so had to park on the street, but not a major point as its a safe area and the parking on the street outside is plentiful and free.
