Location.

53 steps up to the apartment in a narrow and dirty stairwell. Front door locking mechanism needs to be changed and improved. Apartment is tiny.

Location and layout. It is small but well laid out. Everything you need is provided, including Wi-Fi. Check in was easy and Theresa was very helpful

The location of the property was great, especially for me as a solo traveller. There are a lot of restaurants and shops on the road, a one minute walk to the taxi stand. It is also close to many tourist attractions. Teresa was an absolute gem!

Terresa was waiting upstairs in the apartment to run us through things. Apartment has a nice feel and the location is brilliant.

The stairs to the apartment are very narrow and struggled with luggage.

Good location in the centre

If you like staying in a small,cramped apartment with constant noise from the street below and lots of noise from the apartment above and with a very hard bed then this is the place for you.There was also mould in the shower. Perhaps more importantly though the apartment is on the 3rd floor.There is no lift and there are 53 steps up a wooden narrow staircase.We are very fit but it wasnt exactly easy to climb the stairs with our bags. Also there is no sign " The Lemon Tree " at street level not is there a sign on the door so we had no way of knowing if it was the right place.

Breakfast was not included but there were many shops and cafes in the area where one could easily get breakfast.

We were told the water was okay to drink but it was not very pleasant to drink it. It never got cold enough and it tasted like chlorine. Because of this we had to buy our water and store it in the fridge. Also the shower either was really hot or really cold and it was a bit hard to find a pleasant temperature.

Very nice centrally located apartment where we could reach all the main neighbourhood (Bairro Alto, Chiado, Principal Real, Conquistador square) within max15 minutes by foot, even less. The Rossio station subway is a 2-minute walk with plenty of taxi stations around, which makes it very practical to explore the city (30 minutes from Airport, 10min Cais do sobre where you have the tram to Belem or Ferry to Ponto Final). The neighbourhood is quite lively and safe. Located in front of la Locanda Italiana, just 1min from Rossio Square from where start all the walking tours. The apartment is very practically equipped with helpful facilities and even a washing machine. Balcony is overlooking the animated street with restaurants and street music. We could stay on the small balcony to enjoy the animations. We recommend the accommodation for those who want to fully explore the city, but not stay at home. The couch in the living room can be extended, so we enjoyed resting a bit after long walking days in front of the TV. Mind that it is on the 3rd floor without elevators and the staircase is quite narrow.

Overall, we had a great experience, but please note that only the living room has a great view and sunlight. The rest of the rooms (bedroom, bathroom, kitchen) are facing courtyards and without light. The double bed is quite small for 2 and a bit hard. But the AC is helping a lot to face the heat by leaving the bedroom door open. Again, the apartment is perfect for exploring the city but not staying at home. The apartment is for 2 people. Mind that it is on the 3rd floor without elevators and the staircase is quite narrow.

The location was great. The kitchen was clean.

There was a water leak in the shower from the apartment above. There was black mold on the ceiling and pieces fell into the shower floor. We didn’t use the shower. Small bedroom but ok for a couple nights. Be prepared to walk 3 flights up a narrow staircase with your luggage. Did not bother us as we only had one bag however just to let people know.
