THE LEMON TREE

Our host Theresa was extremely kind and helpful and the property was clean and tidy. The location is excellent and the double-glazed windows are effective in keeping out noise from the street. The kitchen is good and it was lovely to have a complimentary bottle of wine.

The sofa bed takes up the whole living area and can't readily be folded away so there isn't anywhere to sit comfortably if the sofa bed is in use. The apartment is really only suitable for a single person or couple. The bedroom has no external window so feels a bit claustrophobic, and storage space for clothes is inadequate.

The location of the property is amazing, close to the Rossio train station and key metro points. Has everything you need for a base in Lisbon. There is a great bustling street below - in the bedroom with the doors/windows closed it does not disturb. Teresa was a fantastic host, so friendly and always on hand to help out with advise/tips. We were able to drop our things off early whilst the property was being cleaned and were about to have a later check out which was so helpful!

The property could have been cleaner, such as under the bed, the bed sheets had some marks on and the smaller details like window sills. There was also the mould/damp/water damage issue in the bathroom which was not expected. Luckily my partner and I didn’t mind about that as we were using the apartment as a base anyway but could be very problematic for some people.

Location

This appartement has a great location near the station and in the city Centre of Lissabon close to various restaurants and bars.

The bathroom of the apartment had very much mold which was not mentioned beforehand and which could not be seen in the photos. There was a lot of dust under the bed and also the couch in the living room was dirty and very uncomfortable. On arrival also no tea or coffee as welcome to be found which was mentioned in the reviews. Furthermore, the apartment was extremely noisy, partly because the apartment is above a souvenir store but also the people above us caused a lot of noise from footsteps. Because of this we slept very badly and did not rest.

Helpful host, met us to give our keys and a complimentary bottle of red wine. Perfect location, cozy little place. Great view of the main pedestrian area below the apartment, with many restaurants and shops. Great, powerful shower. Good kitchen facilities. Good WiFi connection.

Very noisy neighbours upstairs (tourists perhaps?), walking up and down all the time even after midnight and into early hours of the morning (for several nights). Not easy to heat bedroom on cold February evenings.

The apartment was very nice and the location at the center of the city, very accessible. The lady welcoming us is very nice and so helpful, it answered all my questions before the arrival and was so warm when I met her. The apartment is well equipped and clean.

The only thing I did not like that much, is that onlly the living room could have been more clean. The sofa, the rug and the table were a bit messy and I did not feel very comfortable. But otherwise the bathroom, the towels and the bedsheet felt very clean and smelling nice.

Very central location. Kind lady welcomed us. It was nice that we were welcomed with compliment of some small bites and wine. Also coffee and tea were provided for the period of our stay. The apartment was clean.

The bedroom did not have windows, which was a bit strange for us, but otherwise it was comfortable to sleep in. Quite many narrow steps have to be climbed to reach the apartment, so if someone is coming with big and heavy luggage, it might be significant effort to reach the floor. This is applicable for all central old buildings, I guess.

The apartment was clean, comfortable, and in an extremely convenient location. I would definitely stay here again on my next visit to Lisbon.
