The bathroom did not seem to be cleaned properly. The sliding door for the balcony did not lock which made us feel unsafe at night. It was not a hotel, which I thought it was at the time of booking. It was a self-catering apartment in a residential block. The beds were very uncomfortable to sleep on, we had stayed in 2 previous locations before ending our stay at Sugar Reef. There were no lifts so we needed to carry our big luggage up to the 1st floor.

The apartments were filthy, bedsheets and mattresses were full of dust. The bedsheets were smelly. we were a group of 6 people we were offered two double beds and two sofa beds, the sofa beds were very very uncomfortable to sleep in for 9 nights. They only provided 2 mugs for six people. The washing liquid was diluted with water. The shower rooms stank of wee

The location was the only bonus at this property

The apartment looked nothing like the photo's Our towels was mismatched and 1 towel was torn We only had half a roll of toilet paper in the apartment There were 3 wasps in a wasp nest above the shower as well as 2 huge cockroaches that was running around in the apartment. The braai/jacuzzi area was not at all what is shown in the photo's, there was no grass, sun loungers was dirty and the overall outside area was very neglected and dirty During our stay a maintenance team had also accessed the apartment to install new light fittings, the manager of the property did not ask nor did he inform us that someone will have access to our personal belongings. One of the lights which they installed was above the bed the shoe marks and dust from the people walking was all over the bed linen and the side tables was left dusty from the drilling The lights from floor two to floor three was not working, so we had to use our phones at night up the stairs. Will definitely not recommend this apartment, Bookings.com should go and review this apartment again, definitely not a 8.2 rating

Spacious apartment, good vaue for the money. Nice pool but rather cool water in winter.

The place is spacious and in quiet location for comfortable stay. It was very well ventilated.

The shower area overflows. It's connected to the toilet makes the place uncomfortable. One has to clean the entire floor after every shower. The Internet connection was poor. The towels were not in good shape to use. Fortunately we carried ours. The walls in rhs shower were peeling.

The room was clean and spacious

1. Their was no hand pump near the closet 2. Out of the 4 days, stay one day their no water for at least more than 5 hours, and after 2200 their no staff that you can ask for help, nor the landlord doesn't attend his phone
