Poggio Angelarosa: Lemon Garden Stay&Relax

Me gustó que tuviera aire acondicionado y calefacción que funcionaban a la perfección. Cama cómoda y limpia con otra cama supletoria en el salón y tele con netflix. Acceso con autobús muy fácil y con bastante frecuencia, nosotros subimos con moto y tuvimos aparcamiento gratis justo al lado. Antonella y Agostina muy agradables y serviciales, nos recomendaron dos restaurantes del pueblo y nos ayudaron a saber que buses tomar para llegar a Pontone.

Lo único que no me gustó es que la cocina estuviera separada del apartamento , la distancia era mínima pero me hubiera gustado que estuviera dentro.

Die Unterkunft hat eine tolle Lage von der aus sich die Almalfiküste perfekt erkunden lässt. Zu Fuß kommt man nach Almalfi. Per Bus lassen sich die anderen Orte wie Positano sehr gut erreichen. Besonders gut gefallen hat uns Ravello, welches ebenfalls per Bus zu erreichen ist. Die Betreuung vor Ort war sehr fürsorglich und flexibel.

Hard to reach with heavy lugage

We are happy with our choice of a place to stay in Amalfi: there is no fuss and crowds up there in Pontone, it feels perfectly calm, picturesque and private in Lemon Garden. We had an almost personal flowering garden with sun loungers, where we wish we had time to chill a couple of days more. Pontone is a nice authentic stone village + there are a couple of restaurants around with a great view. Also, there are a couple of tracking options: going down to Amalfi center or a route to Valle delle Ferriere. We were warmly welcomed by the hosts. We had some doubts reading about the 1000 steps in the reviews prior to the booking as my wife was having some troubles with her knees. Nevertheless, we did both the descent and ascent to and from Amalfi on foot, and we found both of them of medium difficulty (in case of no problems with knees I would say it was not a hard hike for active people). Anyway, there is always a bus as an option. All in all - it was a great and unique experience staying in Lemon Garden, we wish we could stay longer.

Un capuchino cremoso y zumo natural de los limones recién recogidos tomados en la terraza con paisaje pintoresco, en medio de la montaña, con sonido de la tranquilidad y con muy buena compañía de los dueños (Antonella y Antonio)…así es como voy a recodar este magnífico sitio. Sentí la esencia de la vida de la Costiera Amalfitana y me sentí acogida ya desde primer día cuando llegue a Scala. Los dueños fueron de las mejores personas que he encontrado en mi viaje solitario, estaban pendientes de mi y sabía que podía contar con ellos. Seguro que voy a volver! Incluso el baño también fue como una sorpresa… original y relajante, ya os lo podéis imaginar ☺️. Para mi en todos sentidos es un 10!

Wonderful accommodating people! One of the best breakfasts we've had. The hosts were kind enough to pick us up when we were arriving as well. Such tremendous beauty to be seen when waking up. The walk along the lemon garden was breathtaking also. The communication was amazing as well! Nothing but good things to be said.

I would give this place a 20 out of 10 if I could. What a truly memorable experience, especially if you're someone who values peace and quiet to go along with jaw-dropping views. Pontone is kind of isolated (which is a good thing if you're not a fan of large, loud crowds of tourists) but not all that complicated to get to. If you're coming from Napoli, you can take the Positano Jet from Molo Beverello to Amalfi, and once you arrive look for a guy in a lime green vest in the parking lot, that's where you can purchase bus tickets (it took a lot of asking around but hopefully it saves you the time). The hosts will gladly inform you what time the next bus arrives, but just make sure the bus says "Pontone" on the front. It's possible to walk from Amalfi to Pontone, but I wouldn't advise it unless you're in great shape, or perhaps a bit of a masochist. Going down took us about 30 minutes going at a pretty slow pace and taking a few breaks here and there. As for Pontone, it's a small, quiet village with 2 restaurants (both of which have a good selection of food) and a small shop which sells some basic produce (garlic, tomatoes, onions), dry pasta, sandwiches, vino, etc. I know Poggio offers a few different options but I can definitely recommend the "Studio With Sea View" as you have your own private garden at the highest point of the property. It's really an incredible experience to wake up and go outside with your morning café and the first thing you see is the breathtaking view of the mountains and the sea off to the left. I know it looks great in the pictures, but trust me, in person it's 1000 times more stunning. Not to mention you are surrounded by lemon trees which add a nice touch to the overall experience. Our hosts Antonella and Agostina were both very warm and friendly, accommodating, and willing to help out with any information to make your stay easier.
