Mezzanine o/k for young people , not suitable for older people. Bed seemed old and uncomfortable .

Good location. Very clean. Generally well equipped with good quality appliances etc. Well presented advice and information folder. Good storage for bikes or sports equipment.

Sleeping accommodation was on a sort of mezzanine with very limited headroom which was inconvenient and limited the useable space.Anyone who is not small or reasonably agile would struggle. No soap or toileteries were provided in the bathroom which was inconvenient when we first arrived.

The owners were very accommodating, the destination is perfect for a romantic quiet weekend away and the property was spotless with everything you need. Will definitely be staying again!

Location, value, cleanliness.

Very disappointed to see chickens kept in a cramped and dirty enclosures, clear evidence of hen peck which is a clear indication of stress. Whilst the decor was pleasant the actual sleeping area was challenging (although we did realise when booking it was a split level property) due to the low head height, and we are not tall people.

Cute place , beautiful done , out side sitting area with chickens ..had a real homely feel ,was concerned when pulled up as the doors on the street , but this is only the door into the lovely court yard.

It wouldn't stop us re booking but there's no ceiling on the bathroom part so you are aware or being heard.

The Old Bakery is in a good position about 20 minutes walk from the centre of Berwick on Tweed .It is tastefully furnished and is quite quirky with many original features.

Didn't really appreciate just how impossible it is to stand up in the sleeping area and nowhere to hang clothes and no drawers.The instructions left by the owners on how to use the heaters were complicated and irrelevant as it turned out.My husband frequently stubbed his toe on a totally unnecessary door stop in the bathroom which a previous review did mention..No milk ,coffee ,tea or toiletries were left,we have been touring the country for a month ,staying in self catering apartments, and have found that these essentials are normally provided
