Friendly host. Very attentive to service. Breakfast was excellent. Very good service overall.

A little bit out of the way but that's only a minor issue

"Best place to stay in Nuwaraeliya if you are looking for a calm, quite, relaxing stay!"

9.0

Everything was super Neat and clean. Had all amenities we needed!! It’s close to the Nuwaraeliya town!! Beautiful surroundings with Tea gardens around the property. Vinu the caretaker was really caring, helpful and most importantly he was really attentive to all our queries!! They do provide you with a free tea plucking shoot!! Do not forget to make a use of it and get the experience!

"Appalling."

The staff stole from us. The staff kicked us off their property after check-out and did not allow us to keep vehicle / bags until later in the day (despite this being a very standard practice for hotels & air bnbs). The staff were aggressive and shouted at us. The staff refused to let us stand in the warmth of the property of use toilet facilities (until we pleaded) while we waited for out taxi despite it being very cold. The staff were generally very unpleasant. At one point the staff threatened to call the police rather than deal with our not unreasonable requests. I have never stayed in such an appalling establishment. I think that this 'bed and breakfast' or whatever it is should be closed down.

The property is located at a beautiful place close to the main town and amenities. The house was clean and kept well. Breakfast was good l. Rooms were slightly small but overall comfortable. The property owner was very helpful in booking train tickets for us from Nuvara Eliya to Ella.

There are a few things- 1. There is no service available other than breakfast so if you want to order any food, milk etc its not a possibility. We traveled with a baby and so found it difficult to adjust in a place without any kitchen facility. 2. There is a curfew. You have to be in the property by 9:30 pm which was very weird. If a property does not provide you with a facility to order dinner in-house as they don't have an operating kitchen, then at least allow the person time to go out and eat and be back. Besides anyway why would anyone tell a fully grown up adult on a holiday when they need to be back and in bed ? 3. There are common places like garden, dining hall and drawing room but we were discouraged by the staff to sit and talk or enjoy a drink in these places as they said the other guests ( who were in their room by the way) would get disturbed. I think when one books a property, it is understood that it needs to be shared with other guests, and you can't restrict one person to a certain area because someone else may mind. We paid equally for the property. Besides, out of the three rooms, we booked two. We are educated and civilized humans and not teenagers who need to be told to be confined into their room like in a hostel. 4. When we arrived, the caretaker left us post check in and vanished. We needed help with wifi, finding glasses and had other questions which we didn't know who would answer. 5. We didn't feel welcome at the place. From the moment we arrived, we felt like they couldn't wait for us to leave. There was a complete lack of warmth, which we felt immensely wherever else that we went in out 6 day trip.

"Quintessential tea plantation cottage stay"

10.0

The view of the tea plantation was so peaceful and scenic. The room was beautiful and comfortable. Breakfast was good and the staff were very welcoming.

The bathroom was clean but the grouting could do with a quick scrub/refresh.
