The communication from the hosts was excellent. I was given good instructions on how to get in and keycode instructions. There's a comprehensive book inside with information on how everything works, local places to visit etc The bed was big, clean and comfortable. Head height was definitely an issue, especially to the right side of the bed and was a bit like going camping 🙂. There were handy drawers each side of the bed, but had to hang stuff up down stairs in the cupboard with the hoover and iron. The courtyard garden was very handy for my dog and the surrounding gardens are beautiful. There's a pub with a chip shop opposite that's about a 10 or so minute walk down the road. The chip shop was very good and looks very popular with locals. There's benches outside for when it's nice weather. I went to the New Inn on a Saturday night at about 8pm and there was only 1 other person in there and a dog. 4 others arrived whilst there, and that was it. Service wasn't really served with a smile 😁. Cromer is a short drive away and we'll worth the trip.

Had to pay an extra £10 for the dog. I've stayed in about 10 places with our 3 yr old Cockerpoo and never paid extra. She doesn't malt and you wouldn't know she's been there. I nearly stepped in the owners dogs mess though.

"Lovely stay"

7.0

The grounds and gardens were lovely. The barn was nice and private Your info pack was very good and the kitchen well equipped but a drainer for the sink could be useful. Good value for money for a short break but not for anything longer than a weekend. It is a very homely place, just needs a few subtle tweaks. Awesome shower.

The TV needs to be on a swivel bracket as it can't be properly viewed from the sofa. Please can you ensure a robust dog prevention system is in place at the bottom of the stairs. The current hook mounts are damaged and very weak. This is personal choice but the mattress was too soft and gave my partner backache.

"Lovely site perfect for short term breaks. Very quiet and peaceful."

9.0

Very neat little apartment very clean and well thought out use of the space. Hosts helpful and in contact throughout. Although there are a few apartments they are cleverly segregated to feel like it’s private. Outside seating, lights and barbecue. Gorgeous setting with hosts generous use of their lovely garden space with pond ( and ducklings) seating areas. Very relaxing break I’d definitely go back. Short walk to a nice local pub with good traditional food and gluten free options

I would say it’s best suited to short stays. Stairs are narrow and would not be suitable for anyone with health problems such as knee or hip pain.

"Not for me"

4.0

The bed was comfortable

The shower was awful, I could either have a cold shower with pressure in water or a warm shower with no pressure that wasn't enough to remove soap from face or body. Luckily, I didn't need to wash my hair! Unfortunately, the stair gate was very flimsy and kept coming off the hooks when my little dog touched it. This caused a sleepless night as upstairs was a dog free area, and it was very dangerous if they did get past the stair gate. The stair gate definitely needs to be more substantial with better fixings. Unfortunately, I had several insect bites appear on my leg by mid-morning as I was leaving, so I'm not sure if this had happened overnight within the property!

"Cosy home from home."

10.0

The Barn was a beautiful conversion, a real home from home. Chris was there to meet us when we arrived and helped us in with our luggage. It was spotlessly clean and the bed was one of the most comfortable we have slept in whilst away! We really liked the enclosed garden allowing us to let our dog come and go as she pleased. All the facilities we could have wished for were in the barn including tea towels and washing up liquid, a large fridge. dishwasher, toaster and microwave along with some complimentary tea/ coffee / fresh milk and flapjacks!

There wasn't anything we didn't like about our stay here.
