The architects' house

The property is ideally located one street back from the main restaurant strip in old town (Gamla Stan) and a stone’s throw from Gamla San metro (T) station, the ferry (Slussen departure over to the museum island), the palace, the shopping strip at T-Centrale and so on. In addition to being an amazing location, the apartment is on the ground floor so no dragging suitcases up flights of stairs. It has a large bedroom and comfortable bed, a good-sized living area with table and a daybed type sofa, a very functional kitchen, and a good sized bathroom. A shower with endless hot water and a washing machine round out the positives. Oh, and our hosts were exceptionally responsive and helpful.

With every centrally-located apartment comes the noisy crowds. Fortunately the noise ceased around 9.30-10.00pm each night. We slept very well.

We greatly enjoyed our stay at the apartment, which is located in a centuries-old private house in the heart of Gamla stan. The location is unbeatable for exploring Stockholm and you can easily walk to key places of interest. The apartment is spacious, pristinely clean and stylishly decorated. The bed is comfortable, the kitchen has all you need for cooking and the shower has good water pressure. Henrik and Lotte are nice hosts, very attentive and caring and easy to communicate with. We would love to return!

Absolutely fantastic location right in the heart of the old town. Listening to the church chiming in the morning and looking out at the gothic architecture was lovely. Clean, beds were comfortable, bathroom was clean with excellent shower and plenty of hot water. Loved all the decor, the quirks and the features.

Only one thing - the stairs!!!

Gorgeous building in the old town, very comfortable beds, lovely hot shower and amenities like a washing machine. The owners Henrik and Lotte were great to deal with and accommodated our requests when we needed to check in after midnight and also leave our luggage there after checkout. I would highly recommend staying here for an authentic experience.

The stairs were somewhat perilous to manage carrying heavy suitcases. We were aware that it was located on the second floor, but the loft bedroom has an additional two floors of staircase to climb which was a workout.

Really like this property, which is connected through a spiral staircase in an old building in Gamlestan. The experience was excellent. The beds were very comfy however, the spiral staircase did require attention to avoid sliding on it. It was very warm and very cozy close to a lot of restaurants and activity right next to the Royal Palace and the Noble museum.

I don’t really like spiral staircases.

Fantastic location in the heart of the old town. Period accommodation, on an historic street but very quiet and peaceful. Next to St Gertrude German Church, a landmark visible from across the city and just a few minutes direct walk from Gama stan metro (don’t follow Google maps!). The apartment has everything you need.
