Steffen's Cedar Lodge

I like that this place is dog friendly without additional fees. The location is nice & quiet, right on the water. The unit has some fun retro touches, like the sound system in the first bedroom. It was decently clean but overall seems run-down & not very well kept.

There were no check-in instructions offered. We had to call a phone number & wait for one of the managers to come show us where to go. This property has a lot of potential, but it is kind of a dump. There is random junk & clutter throughout the grounds, and previous guests have neglected to pick up after their pets. Everything could use a deep clean. Bring your own toiletries, cooking spices & oils, coffee, etc. The water has an odor & is brown-tinged. Maybe it’s well water? Cabinets & windows have been painted closed so are difficult to open if they open at all.

The room only had one window which faced the other building. I was very claustrophobic in this room. It was very small. It could use some updates.
