Having a kitchen… it was very quiet.

No view of the water and cost of the the ferry.

Location was awesome! Nestled away from the crowds. Peaceful and quiet. Beautiful scenery around the area!

The space we rented was very old and missing modern updates. Two of the bathrooms were well upgraded, so kudos for that. But that is where it ends. The kitchen floor was an ugly mess. Concrete only, and the paint was chipping up all over, in huge chips the size of golf balls or softballs. And what wasn't chipped was industrial gray, and had loads of dark spots and smudges looking like grease. The outdoor grill was left uncleaned and looked unsanitary for cooking. The freezer had an ice maker but it was not hooked up so we had to buy our own ice. There were no condiments in the kitchen, so we had to go buy our own salt and pepper. The pots and pans were all mismatched, so no lids fit the pots. And a note on the fridge said staff didn't "sanitize" cookware. Which we confirmed by looking at a pot and finding grease. There was no kitchen sink sponge, so we had to buy one of those. The wall to wall carpeting was mismatched all over, and most of it was stained with who knows what substance. The front porch was concrete and was scaling and chipping, and the staff left two very used ashtrays just sitting there on a railing and bench. There were front door keys available, but they were not handed to us, just hanging on hooks in the bedrooms, so we had to figure this out ourselves. The supposed waterfront access was across a road, and the grassy area in front of the dock was invaded by Canada geese. It was covered in big nasty poops and was unwalkable. The free wifi was down for the first 24 hours we were there. Since we had our tablet addicted grandkids, that was a hassle. We had to set up our phones as hotspots. At least we have unlimited data plans, so that didn't cost us any money.

Loved the vibe here, very relaxing, peaceful, and quiet. This is exactly what I want for an island vacation for our family. Nothing fancy, but clean and has everything you need, no TV, no problem, wifi available if you absolutely need to stream something, or tablets for kids. Large area for kids to run around, right on the water, great views. Location was great to get to other island attractions. We stayed in the hawk which is an upstairs unit, plenty of comfortable beds, A/C, mini refrigerator. Great for families because there is a door separating the 2 sleeping areas, great for naps, or getting kids to bed and still have some privacy.

Maybe some more outdoor games(bags, giant connect 4 ect), coffee supplies in the room, and a larger garbage in room if I was nitpicking.

Accommodations were very comfortable, but the outside of the facility could really use some work. Location was excellent close to many attractions. Owner was wonderful to work with. She was very accommodating. Would highly recommend this establishment.

There really wasn't anything that we didn't like. Would highly recommend.

There was a very bad smell from the time we got there to when we left. Like mildew. Even stayed on our clothes as I unpacked.
