Steffen's Cedar Lodge

Very quiet and beautiful view of the lake. Clean cabin, very friendly staff.

Not much, no tv was unexpected but was a good change of pace.

This was certainly an ideal location if you intend to stay on Washington Island as there are not many accomodations overall. The outdoor spaces were really the biggest draw, having a little porch space and the yards around. The access to the lake was very much a pleasure, and the comunal fire pit was quite nice. The space on the harbor is really beautiful. I loved that it was a dog friendly location and had easy access to the roads on the island. It was definitely a nice get away for a couple nights, but I think the cabins would be more comfortable than the "Otter" accomodation.

Check in was kind of weird. The signs didn't really read as though it was a space for reception but almost as someone's private property (I was not the only guest that was confused by this). I didn't like that we weren't told ahead of time that we needed to bring our own life jackets to use the kayaks that are listed as an amenity for the location; the communication could have been more transparent. The images make it seem like there is a door between the two sleeping spaces, but there is not. The pull out bed was incredibly uncomfortable, and it was pretty hard to sleep for both of us on there.

View is good. Close to the local bars and ristorantes. Owners were nice.

We were told that it would be a gas grill outside -- (i was asking to see if we need to bring charcoal). Turns out it was charcoal. I would have appreciated salt/pepper in the lodging already but that is water under the bridge. Also the coffee, advertised to have coffee and tea but I had to ask the owners to bum some since they don't have it in the cabin when we got there.

The team was very accommodating and the location was extremely well maintained . The kids and I can’t wait to come back next year.

The grounds, lake dock are so pretty. Firepit was great

The room needed much more light to dark to read a book. Also the oven area was greasy
