Happy Sky Ella

Secluded and peaceful place, with only 3 rooms so staff were always there to help and support. Location is out of town but loved this as was away form the noise of the road and the busyness. Breakfast was great and they even provided traditional food for us to try. Views a great.

We really enjoyed staying at Happy Sky Ella. The staff was extremely friendly and helped a lot. The food was very delicious in the restaurant. It was amazing to stay on the other side of Ella. The night was very quiet, in the middle of the nature. During the night you listen to the noises of a creek and you have a beautiful view on Ella.

The view was breathtaking. The accommodation was very aesthetically pleasing. The breakfast was good too - we especially enjoyed the fruit plate. It was generally easy to communicate with staff. And: lovely hot shower!

Two out of three nights we spent there, there was a loud party nearby … we booked this place especially for some quiet time. You can hear everything inside the room, which meant that we weren’t as rested and relaxed as we had hoped (bring earplugs!). Apart from that, it can also get really cold at night (this comes down to the way the house is built - we felt an indoor breeze). Bare in mind that you need a tuktuk to get to Ella Town.

Location was lovely just outside the town of Ella.

Well-meaning staff were actually too attentive and possibly need to take a step back... We were challenged on why we didn't want to have a drink on arrival! Strange kind of vibe... Too hovering! Fresh sheets to sleep under are only given out 'on request'... this made it feel like a hostel... Sheets should be provided at this price on the mattress and also one to sleep under.

Great service and beautiful location ! Kind staff that will do anything for your comfort.

The hotel is brand new so everything was comfortable, and the view is amazing you feel surrounded by nature.

Unfortunately it is quite far for the city so you have to take (and pay) for a Tuktuk to go anywhere. Short power cuts also occurred.

Location was lovely, small hillside apartment. Host is great, and restaurant food is very nice.

Happy Sky Ella was an absolute gem! It's one of the best places to stay in town. The rooms were impeccably clean and tidy. I was really impressed to learn that the owner built the entire property himself. The design and architecture are top-notch. The food was delicious, and the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. They even assisted us in renting two motorbikes, making it easy to explore the area. Overall, it was a perfect stay, and I highly recommend Happy Sky Ella to anyone visiting Ella.
