Excellent large room. Great en suite. Fresh pastries and aloe gin in the room each day. Coffee machine and tea making facilities.

Room was spacious and en suite was fabulous. Food was good.

Looked tired and dated and not very inspiring from the outside to the point we nearly left without trying. Glad we did though as it was lovely.

Food was excellent, decor lovely, very welcoming to dogs. Polite, friendly service. Sloe gin in the room and caramel shortcake in the room on arrival - lovely gesture. Coffee machine, tea, coffee making facilities too. Quiet at night with no road noise. It is on a quiet road but with quick, easy access to the A1 so convenient for Bamburgh etc. We will definitely be back!

Overall it was a great four days. The little extras, sloe gin and cake in the room, which was very comfortable were a welcome surprise. The quality, service and presentation of the food was superb both at breakfast and dinner. The staff were without exception friendly and attentive.

Very comfortable. Friendly, helpful staff. Great choices for breakfast. Dinner was excellent too.

Never judge a book by its cover, whilst the outside is nothing remarkable it hides a gem inside, spacious and comfortable with everything we needed. The sloe gin was a welcoming aperitif for fantastic dinner. Breakfast kept me going for the day ahead.

Lovely country pub.Food was excellent and nothing was too much trouble.10 minute drive to Bamburgh.Free cakes and drinks in the room a lovely bonus
