Great location for The Cavern, restaurants, shops, theatres, station,

I was disappointed that there was no bottled water in the room. There has always been 2 bottles of still and 2 bottles of sparkling. There was no fridge. On the last morning we were there, which was a Monday, the water went off. Then it came back on, by which time we were too late to have a shower. At the same time the toilet wouldn't flush. Also, during our stay, even though I had put a blue sign on the door, our towels hadn't been replaced and I had to go to reception twice to ask for clean towels. I also like hot chocolate in the room, and there were no sachets of that. Extra t bags were given out two at a time, as though they were being rationed.

Overall a disappointing visit. Getting in to the hotel with luggage is difficult due to stairs. The elevators are small & extremely slow. We got stuck in one and staff had together a key and let us out. Of course on the basement floor instead of ground floor so more steps to climb. The safe in our room malfunctioned and we waited an 1 1/2 hours for staff to get it open. The breakfast was mediocre.

Can’t fault it. We won’t stay anywhere else when visiting Liverpool.

Comfy bed, good shower.

So many things not working in the room. AC set too cold and couldn’t change it. No heating to warm up the room. Had to be provided with a portable heater, which was also partly broken (fan not working). Towel rails turned off for safety reasons as too hot. Fan not working in enclosed bathroom. No glasses in the bathroom for a drink. Only 2 mugs provided for hot drinks and limited milk so we had to ask for more to make a second drink. Even the deputy manager thought we had paid an excessive amount. This is now being investigated. Been offered a complimentary one night stay in a balcony room, but I’m afraid I very much doubt we will be back. Liverpool is our home city so you can imagine our disappointment at being let down so badly.

The location was very good. The hotel itself was very nice.

Standard hotel breakfast - nothing special: folded over tray cooked bacon, frozen then cooked pastries, fruit salad pre packed ....coffee not the best from a machine 😕 Cheap nescafe coffee sachets and tea bags in room same as Premier Inn ! No handheld shower hose to reach parts that a high (not so powerful) rain shower can't reach Only A/C in room can't open windows You'd except a better fresher style breakfast and at least a cafetiere in each room... I stayed in a Premier Inn last weekend a lot cheaper the room was bigger, had windows that opened, a better shower and breakfast same standard ...just saying.....
