Beech Cottage with Clun Castle View

The cottage was conveniently located within east walking distance to castle grounds. Ideal for dog walks.

Lovely spacious cottage ,well equipped ,,nicely decorated with .great view of clun castle from both bedrooms . Two minutes walk from the centre ,pubs and cafe on your door step .easy access to footpaths . Host's were very kind in letting me add another last minute person to the group. .we had a lovely peacefully visit . Would definitely stay again . Thanks .

The owners lied about the accommodation and I plan to speak to customer services about this. I have a screenshot of the advert that says it is a 2 bedroom house with 1 room having an extra large double bed, and the second room supposed to have 1 double bed and 1 extra large double bed and then a double sofabed downstairs...however on arrival I found in the first room 2 single beds put together, and in second room just 2 single beds. I will provide pictures of the beds when i arrived. There was no way on earth those 2 single beds in the second room was a double and extra large double- they were both singles!!! One child had to sleep on the floor as we were expecting double beds not singles ! I'm furious over wrongful advertisment. There is no way for owners to talk thier way out of this one as I have screenshot of my booking and of the actual beds in the cottage which I will be providing to customer service. I've never been so angry over a booking, ever... also no spare bedding in cupboards- luckily we bumped into the cleaner and she gave us an extra duvet on our last night but I can't believe there was no extra Blankets. The first night I slept of sofa bed and there was no bedsheets, I checked every draw and cupboard. They was locked away in cleaners cupboard.. also kitchen floor was so sticky it's obviously had never been cleaned and so many spiders and cobwebs. I took pictures it was very unclean. I'm so sorry to leave bad review for owners, but I'm reality the only way to better things is to learn the hard way with real reviews. Also courtyard overgrown with weeds through the stones and cigarette butt's in floor. Cleaner is absolutely useless. Even kitchen worktop was sticky in areas. I think cleaner is coming in and rushing with a general tidy up but no deep clean which makes the place really unhygienic. I will be reaching out with pictures very soon to customer service. Booking shows 2 X extra large doubles and 1 double.

The house was very nice and clean with pleny of facilities and comfy beds. It was a good location as it was in the centre of Clun and next door to a pub that served food. There was also a shop very near too which was open 7 days a week. The instructions for checking in and guidence to get there was excellent.

Not much to complain about really apart from the toilet didn't flush very well so that may need looking at and sometimes the parking was a bit hit and miss, but that can't be helped given the size of the village. Overall very good.

Kitchen utensils and pans horrible and lacking. cooker poor oven and hob. took ages Disgusting dirty yard space with overflowing bins (bin collections are a Friday morning so this must be difficult) Strong oil smell throughout property

Lots of things to like!. The location, the very kind and friendly local people, and the feeling of a slower pace of life. Central Village for pub and superb coffee shops. Very useful Spar shop! Welcoming St George's Church. Great quality glassware, towels and duvets.

We had a bit of a problem with the central heating but it was dealt with quickly and efficiently by the property manager and local skills Only one suggestion. The outside sitting area needs a spring clean...post winter tidy up!, then it would be more inviting.

Was missing a sheet for sofa bed but when contacted manager they apologised and had one delivered plus extra loo rolls . Little bit of noise from next-door at night but only for a short time.

Kitchen was very cold and smelt of something dead! I recommend the cottage be removed from rental for this smell to be professionally investigated and rectified, so as not to ruin any more holidays. Bin was full of the last Tennant's rubbish when we arrived. There was a used dummy in the master bedroom presumably from the previous tenant. The toilet struggled with 2 guests, I don't want to imagine what it would have been like with 4 or 6 guests. Proper curtains in the master bedroom would stop the street light shining in all night It was called Clun Castle View on the instructions but actually named Beech Cottage by the sign on the door, which was not helpful

Lovely cottage in really nice village, very near shops, cafe, pubs. Very warm, clean, perfect for our stay.

Took a while to find in the dark as wasn’t made aware of the actual name of the cottage.
