Our room was outdated. Furniture was old and worn out. The sofa bed did not have any sheets, the TV remote did not work and the phone to call the front desk did not work. The room did not have any drinking water and the check in desk did not have any water for purchase. I'm just glad we didn't stay there for more than one night. I would not book this room again. Thank you, Sandra

I just spent a week at Los Cabos Golf Resort (LCGR). I had no idea what to expect going there, but was pleasantly surprised. As a 44F traveling solo I was looking for safe and peaceful accommodations - and LCGR fit the bill. The resort is older, but that may be why I found it so charming! If I'm going to Mexico I want to feel like I'm in Mexico, and the ambiance at LCGR offered just that. The property was clean and cared for. I had a rental car, and it was easy to get to and from the resort as it's just off the main highway. I appreciated having the kitchenette in my studio room. The 2-burner cooktop was a bonus. It was perfect for enjoying breakfast on my balcony, which overlooked the golf course. I used the gym most days. It's very basic - free weights, a treadmill, a couple of elliptical machines, and a rower - but it was nice to have available. The staff are really the heart of LCGR. Everyone was lovely. I sincerely appreciated Geo's help with arranging an excursion for me. I was aware of the timeshare presentations but they were only mentioned to me once, upon check-in. At no other time did anyone bring it up or did I feel any pressure to participate. I had the relaxing experience I was hoping for and would absolutely stay at LCGR again :)

"Dog bite inside resort"

2.0

I stayed at The Los Cabos Golf Course Resort from 1/3/25 to 1/8/25. On 1/5/25 - I was jogging inside the resort and a pack of dogs from one of the residents inside the resort bite my leg and injured me badly. I had to go to three different hospitals in Mexico, Kaiser Emergency in California and my medical bills is over $3K. This resort is affiliated and a trademark collection by Wyndham. I have photos, videos and even a worker on video saying they have these dog tried to attacked a customer but they couldn't catch them a day before the dog bit me. The worst is that the employees at the golf resort club house made me waited over 20 minutes while I was bleeding from the dog bite and wouldn’t use their golf cart to take me to the hotel lobby so I go to the hospital for treatment until I got mad and demanded one of the worker to take me to the hotel lobby. In addition, I requested the hotel to pay for my taxi cost and they say they are not responsible and I should sue the golf course for my compensation. The funny thing is the time share they try to sell at this resorts includes golfing for their resort too. I have all the medical receipts and I had to go to Kaiser Emergency room last night for follow up rabies shots that cost me $530USD. Loss of my ultra marathon race on 1/11/25 because of my injury.

"Ok Accommodations but not worth the $$$$"

6.0

We stayed in both the golf resort and the villas during our stay and both had their pros and cons. The condos at the golf resort were in decent shape with a true Mexico feel in the decor and mouldings. The unit we stayed in was "M" and our balcony looked towards the ocean so you could see the cruise ships but also the road way, construction and Walmart, etc. Our unit was just across from the main lobby of the resort. Our balcony had lots of seating including a table and chairs, lounge area and coffee spot for 2. The sliding door was sticky but we made do. The inside had a living room area with modern TV and a dining table for 6. The fridge was a good size. The only thing we wished that we had was a dishwasher. The condo was cleaned well but we also tipped the staff well. Beds were comfortable, mattresses were on the softer side and pillows on the flatter side. Our Condo had 2 bedrooms with king beds, 2 full bathrooms and 1 couch with pullout bed, Each room also had its own air conditioning. There were dishes and a few cooking utensils, etc. provided. We found groceries at Walmart and the grocery store downtown which we took a taxi or Ubers to. The food and drinks on resort were definitely pricey and you cannot bring any snacks or drinks down to the pool. The wait staff at the pool were generally good but 9/10 times if you wanted a drink, a menu, to order food, etc. you had to go to them. You could order to the pool from the one bar and restaurant on site. Towels were provided but there were a few days that if they ran out, they didn't bring any more and you had to bring your own from your room. The pool itself and the surrounding grounds were kept relatively clean. There are 2 pools and 1 hot tub. The smaller "warm" pool was always a bit murky, meaning you couldn't see the bottom of the pool, ever. The "cold" pool was clear and much bigger but so cold my family barely used it. The hot tub was also a bit murky but a decent size. There was usually a couple sun chairs available at the pool every day but there were also sun beds that you can use for a fee, or, if you are property owners of the villas, for free. Even though this was our case, we had to have an exchange with the same staff member daily over whether we had to pay to use them. They seemed very protected even though us and one other family were the only ones to use them during our stay. I personally didn't golf but what I could see of the golf course looked nice and well kept and my husband and son had nothing bad to say about it. An average taxi ride downtown from the resort was around $20 USD or closer to $10 if you took an Uber. Make sure to agree on a cost of the taxi before accepting the ride. We found Cabo as a whole, EXPENSIVE. The downtown restaurants were insane and the street markets were asking $40 USD for sweaters and $15 USD+ for a kid's tee. A family meal of tacos and quesadillas with 1-2 drinks each cost approximately $500 USD. The property is set a bit away from the city so on the quiet side aside from the construction noise of the villas still being built. After a few days at the resort, we did move to a Villa. They are beautiful, big and modern but because of the openness of the house you can hear EVERYTHING. Doors, dishes, people talking, toilets, the hot tub. If it makes noise you can hear it everywhere in the house. Because of the openness there is definitely a draft so doors will slam, or alternatively, open on their own if there is a small breeze or gust if they are not fully latched. The bedrooms were large and spacious with balconies and seating off 2/3. The third had a smaller balcony. Each room had a TV and full shower. 2/3 were King beds and also had a jetted tub. The third was 2 double beds. The mattresses were too soft for our preference but the bedding was clean and comfortable. The rooftop included a lounge area, table and chairs, BBQ and a hot tub. There was no sun shade over the table or BBQ so cooking or eating for most of the day was not an option as it was either too windy or way too hot. The kids used the hot tub in the evenings once the sun went down and we only barbecued once. The kitchen was an odd shape and on the smaller side so it was hard to have more than a couple people in it at one time. It also lacked some ideal items such as mixing bowls. The dishwasher worked well as did the washing machine. We had to purchase laundry detergent. There was a full size fridge and freezer which was useful having to cook your own meals. A lot of the cupboards in the home itself including where the extra linens were kept were very high up/tall so unless you are over 6 feet tall they were impossible to reach. The pool in the backyard was nice but was also freezing cold so we did not use it during our stay. The large dining table outside was a nice asset but we ate our meals inside the house.

"Skip this place hotel "

The hotel was under construction near our room. The phone, TV and microwave did not work and the bed was very uncomfortable. The pool pieces of the ground were peeling off and over all way too much noise to enjoy the stay.

"staff was very friendly"

6.0

The staff was very friendly. The restaurant staff was the best part of the stay. The bed was very hard. We did not have hot water in the shower. There was not a screen on the slider. The style of the resort is cute with more of a more traditional Mexico feel

"I loved the Pillows on the bed and size of thee unit was generous and well appointed!"

The pillows are the fluffiest I’ve ever felt. The suite was large and very comfortable. We loved the fact that there were 2 full bathrooms and 2 balconies. This one bedroom suite was well appointed with everything that we required for a pleasant stay.

"Overdue for updates"

4.0

The hotel is in poor repair and in original condition from 30 years ago. The room has poor lighting and a fall hazard for the elderly. I did appreciate the quiet location and the pools. Was disappointed in the false promise from front desk staff that I was guaranteed to earn points for my stay.
