Whalers Cove in Poipu

Spectacular views! Unbelievable sunrises and sunsets! Nice facilities with a helpful, knowledgeable staff. Quiet environment but close to beach and other activities. Comfortable, clean units (unit 124 was ours.)

We stay at Whaler’s Cove every year…number of different units…this year #136. Stunning views, spacious units, beautiful grounds. serene setting, convenient parking, and outstanding staff. It doesn’t get any better! Spoil yourself and stay at Whaler’s cove!.

Beautiful inside and out! The inside space is light, airy, with plenty of room for 4. The view from the lanai is wide open, interesting, and provides unrivaled sunsets. The pool is serene, was uncrowded and hard to leave. Perfect!

Whaler's Cove is our favorite place to stay in all the islands. It is easy walking distance to two lovely, toddler-friendly beaches, walking distance to The Shops at Kukul'ula and its terrific restaurants, and only a five minute drive to Poipu beach. Very private, very quiet, and all rooms have ocean views. We have seen breaching Humpbacks from our lanai. And there is terrific snorkeling in the mouth of the stream adjacent to the property. Staff is outstanding, friendly, and knowledgeable. They loaned us snorkel equipment for the week. High expectations, always exceeded. That's why we always return to Whaler's Cove.

We recently stayed at Whalers Cove for our honeymoon and had the absolute best experience! 233 was the perfect setup for us! Very clean and well stocked with anything you might need. We also had the most amazing view and saw so much sea life right out of our door! Every staff member was very friendly and helpful. We really appreciated the special made beach blankets we received in our honeymoon gift basket! Overall, this was the perfect spot for our honeymoon and we will absolutely be back!

We have returned to Whalers Cove for 22 years because it is the closet place to Paradise and we have been to many incredible places in the World. The ocean, beautiful gardens, spacious rooms and a fantastic staff make Whalers head and shoulders above any resort we have visited. We look forward to many more years at this very special place.

Have you taken a vacation that exceeded your expectations? Our stay at Whalers Cove Resort in Kauai did just that! We wanted a quiet, out-of-the-way place that offered an opportunity for a restful and rejuvenating vacation. We were fortunate to book a suite that faces the ocean with quick and easy access to the infinity pool and hot tub. Leaving home in a snowstorm, my wife and I were transported to paradise! Each morning we would sit on the patio with our tea and coffee, watching the beautiful sunrise over the horizon. After breakfast, we would look down toward the ocean, watching for sea turtles and further out for whales! The entire staff, reception team (Marianne and Alexsis) and groundskeepers, and cleaning crew were so helpful, friendly, and easygoing! Our time at Whalers Cove Resort was magical. We were able to enjoy a peaceful and relaxing time. We can’t wait to visit again!

Just realized that this was our 25th stay at Whaler's Cove so it is obvious that we truly enjoy this resort. The staff is always friendly and accommodating, the condos immaculate and well appointed and the ocean front location is outstanding. Snorkeling in the protected cove in front of the resort is amazing with an abundance of turtles. Whalers Cove is a smaller complex and may not have the frills of the larger resort but it offers peace and tranquility after an adventurous day on the island of Kauai. Highly recommend it.

Whaler’s Cove provides the most extraordinary location for a blissful vacation on the Island of Kauai. Being so close to the water and watching the whales from the breakfast table in our condo was amazing. The sunsets were breathtaking. The grounds and pool are excellent. The location was very convenient for activities and dinners on the south shore. We were pleased with the helpfulness of the friendly staff. And snorkeling in Turtle Cove right next door was incredible. So many turtles!!
