Whalers Cove in Poipu

Small complex with very helpful staff. Location ideal with lots to watch - whales, snorkelers, turtles. Felt very private, out of the crowds.

this was the fifth time we have stayed at the Cove; 3 times with my wife, twice with the family; staff is extremely friendly, helpful; Marianne and Alexis went above and beyond; rooms are spacious, well maintained, a great place to stay; no complaints at all; would love to be able to afford one of the condos when I retire but doubt that will happen; any time we visit Kauai we always stay here; this time, we stayed in a second floor condo overlooling the pool with an ocean view and the only issue at times was the noise emanating from folks in the hot tub highly recommend stephen knorr

We stayed for almost ten days and Whalers Cove went above and beyond our expectations. The condos themselves were spacious and beautifully furnished and the views off the patio are stunning! We were very close to groceries, gas, a shopping center and a few beaches. Our unit had a washer and dryer as well as a dishwasher so we really felt like we had moved in and felt so at home. The staff were excellent and very friendly. They even scheduled a massage for us in our condo and they came right to our door. If you’re looking for a luxury experience, Whalers Cove should be your number one choice!

This was our second time staying at Whaler’s Cove, and we loved our visit as much this time as we did on our first visit. The staff are so friendly and helpful. They even found an artificial Christmas tree to put in our unit since we were there during the holidays. The grounds are beautiful and well maintained. We were able to stay in one of the bigger units. It was nicely furnished and so comfortable. We are already looking forward to our next visit! Thank-you Whaler’s Cove. We will be back!

Whalers Cove is the ultimate vacation destination. We have been coming here for years and it is just as amazing every time. The views from every room are absolutely stunning (unit 232 is my personal favorite) and the staff is incredibly welcoming, kind, and helpful.

If you would like a beautiful quiet stay with Whales and Dolphins passing by as you eat breakfast, this is the place. Lovely pool for those days surf is too dangerous for the ocean. Walk to baby beach. Staff was very attentive and friendly. We went with 2 young children and were welcomed.

The location is perfect, the kitchen that is fully equipped with everything you could imagine. The view from the master bathroom, and balcony are to die for. Couldn’t get enough pictures, and you will watch the sunset right in front of you.

Aloha! This is a very special, quiet spot right on the ocean in Koloa. All you hear are the waves crashing and can see turtles, whales and dolphins from your lanai. It’s always hard to leave. We’ve stayed at Whalers Cove 4 times and it has always been wonderful. Mahalo to the amazing staff for always being so accommodating and helpful. We will be back again next year! It’s something we always look forward to.

Absolute fantastic location. The view is tremendous. (Condo 133). Sound of the waves washing through the condo was therapeutic. Staff was helpful and very friendly. I loved how the surrounding area would have rain showers, but at the condo it would be dry and sunny. The condo was spacious and well appointed. On warm days you could open the windows at opposite sides of condo and the breeze would quickly cool down the inside. No AC, but that is normal for Hawaii. We would come back if the opportunity presented itself. We really enjoyed our stay here.
